Illegal immigration billboard

If it were real it would be in Latin American Spanish.

    • Trench_Raider

      Heh.
      True enough.
Although even if it were in Spanish, most illegals could not read it anyway.

      TR

  • northerncanuck

If it isn't real it should be, along with a way of distributing bus tickets.

  • rjschwarz

Yeah except the I-8 goes to San Diego. Yeah San Diego has it coming as well but for the sake of accuracy it should say I-5 North.

    • northerncanuck

San Diego seemed pretty active in shutting down tunnels, putting up fences and other measures. Are they illegal friendly? It's a pretty Conservative town from my observations.
I know watching the illegals coming over/through the fence, playing cat and mouse with the border patrol, is a spectator sport.

      • tom310

San Diegans are disgusted with our city leaders (?) who decided to take a stand against Arizona laws without asking us first. Most San Diegans are fed up with hispanic crime, welfare fraud, loss of jobs for blue coller workers, hospital emergency rooms closing due to overload by hispanics who do not pay, mexican gangs, car thefts, burglaries, by people who do not come here to become Americans, but only come to see what they can take from our schools and welfare systems while paying no taxes on the $$$ they send to Mexico. They will be better served to go back to their own country and make the demands that they freely make here while carryuing their Mexican flags.

        • Christopher_Taylor

          Someone elected them.

    • hstad

      I-10 goes to L.A.

  • Real Politik

If it were real, all the citizens of Arizona would be on the move.

    • StanW

So, now all the residents of Arizona are illegal aliens, RP?

You take stupid to a much higher level.

      • Real Politik

Your comment, stan, reinforces my knowledge of how incredibly stupid you really are. Take a bow.

        • StanW

Can't even come up with your own insults, but have to use mine. How typical.

And to your quote… if the CITIZENS of Arizona went to Los Angeles, they would not get those benefits. As CITIZENS, they would be expected to PAY FOR THEM so that illegal aliens could have them.

Your stupidity is noted by all here, RP.

    • Christopher_Taylor

Illegals by definition are not citizens. Illegals do however get free care and food and even housing in LA.

  • mazabdul

I'm sure Walmart is having a field day because the illegal immigrants are finally leaving. They can now go back to paying their employees full wages! Hooray for paying people full price. It's how I got these Nikes so cheap, I'm guessing. Look fellas, illegal immigration is capitalism. You get whoever does the job cheapest, tough luck to the guy that wanted more money for a simple job. Clearly Arizona lawmakers and business owners are not in bed on this one

Oh and what's this about free hospital and free medical? What is this, France? Freaking legal citizens get called communists if they ask that, good luck to illegals

    • northerncanuck

Is there a point in there? If it's meant as satire or sarcasm it's pretty, pretty, pretty poor.
Comes across as impotent rage and frustration “why…why…I've gotta say something against these guys…anything…pffft…what…pffft..say…pffftt…uh uh….pfffttt…”

      • mazabdul

        It's pretty simple.
        Illegal Immigrant=Pay people less
Pay people less = more money for me
More money for me = good

There's a reason they keep showing up, gentleman, someone keeps offering them jobs

Also, am I panting or ejaculating in your little theatrical piece?

        • StanW

          Try this for simple, infant…

          Illegal alien = CRIMINAL!

          • mazabdul

if it's a crime to save American employers good money and help businesses run more efficiently, I don't know what kind of world it is.

If you love the working man so much, raise minimum wage a bit and help some folks catch a break

          • StanW

The things you don't know could fill the Library of Congress, infant.

Paying less does not automatically save you money.

          • mazabdul

I'm pretty fine with arithmetic, it would seem. It's probably the simplest business model of all. Hell, speaking of congress, what do you think it would run us to hire illegal aliens congressmen? They could work for a sh**load less and we'd have more public funds. there's ways to cut money if you're creative…

          • TheDickNixon

“what do you think it would run us to hire illegal aliens congressmen? “

            Are you retarded?

          • George

Paying less does not automatically save you money ????

I think you have now discredited everything else you say forever. What a joke.

          • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

Not when the quality makes the object need replacing 2-3 more often for the same or more cost. Basic math, george.

          • Christopher_Taylor

Deflection is a sign of an immature intellect. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law, therefore they are engaging in criminal activity. I suspect you know this but are trying to troll conservatives into agreeing with your idiotic and weak arguments.

          • kozmonot

First – the main point is “illegal alien” means they're not supposed to be here – they are violating the law by staying in this country and need to realize that breaking the law has consequences here as in every other country in the world. Try illegally entering any other country in the world and telling them they have no right to deport you and see how far you get. We are not being unreasonable.

Second – unfortunately, this creates a whole new system of “sweatshops” and “near slavery” right here in America. How many times do we see news stories, etc. about places in other countries where people live on wages like 2 dollars a day, or something like that, and about how wealthy we are in America compared to them; or about American companies getting in trouble or being boycotted for running “sweatshops” in other countries where they pay people these ridiculous wages? Now companies have figured out that by hiring “illegal” immigrants here in the states, they can give them “sweatshop” wages (by American standards), little or no benefits, and the “illegals” are not likely to complain out of fear of arrest or deportation – and their bosses know this. This also gives the companies leverage against “legal” citizens as well – if they don't agree to work for lower wages and benefits, they can be replaced by immigrants that are “easier to control”. The AFL-CIO has its work cut out for it – the unions better really start talking to the immigrant workers big time. That might level things out a bit – who knows?

        • dglg03

Jobs, my A**! All thier relatives are here enjoying free medical services, welfare check and housing every month, new vehicles to drive with no license or insurance requirements. Special language and schools for thier illegal children. Why go home, life is good for illegals. Our jails are too full so they get out quickly for weekly crimes. I know several of them, they are such nice people. What a crock of crap!!

      • Chicmatt

        Canadians would not understand.

        • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

well except those like NC who have lived in the US. But for now just be polite and READ post when you've read at least 20 posts from each of the regulars.

    • mightysamurai

Look fellas, illegal immigration is capitalism.

No, child, it isn't. Go research the definition of “capitalism” again. Then come back when you're less stupid.

      • mazabdul

Right, capitalism isn't about making more money, sorry I forgot. It's about tossing the job to whoever you like the best. Look, being a citizen doesn't mean you're affordable or even a hard worker. If I have a cousin I like, doesn't mean I'll give him a job. I'll send him a Christmas card, but I would recommend hiring the best man for the job, i.e. the one who does the job for less money

        • StanW

The one who will work for less money is the best for the job?

Thank you for admitting that you have never hired anyone and are most likely a child with no real world experience.

          • mazabdul

Unless you want Costco to give the gig to particle physicists, yeah I'd guess. But keep the ad hominem up here, we're making real progress. Next say I hate America

          • StanW

            Listen infant…

You pay $2.00 an hour for a worker, YOU GET A WORKER ONLY WORTH $2.00 an hour. If you want the lowest prices person to paint your house or fix your car, that's fine. But low cost does not mean the best.

You are obviously spouting the crap Liberals have been feeding you about Capitalism. Please keep showing your abject ignorance. You are amusing us all!

          • mazabdul

Something tells me if the job is simple as it is, you just want to pay the money and be done with it. And I doubt employers are sitting there thinking, well yeah my profit is down, but at least I'm getting quality product. Ultimately employers just want to save money, I get that.

You know I could probably get someone to finish this post for like 40 cents…

          • StanW

Your ignorance knows no bounds, Maz.

          • Stanisanidiot

Stan are you serious? The jobs illegal immigrants are taking aren't high paying jobs that require a lot of experience! I bet you want all of your farm hands to have college degrees right? As long as Americans get jobs! You have to be kidding me, when someone working for 2 dollars an hour does the same quality job as someone working for 15, then hiring the 2 dollar/hr laborer is capitalism. And face it, the jobs that illegal immigrants take are not the ones that most Americans would want anyway.

          • StanW

Nice name change there, Maz. Very mature.

Again, all you have done is continued to demonstrate your incredible ignorance of Capitalism.

          • http://independentindianpress.com/ Lisa

I'm a conservative, support Arizona 100%, and am boycotting LA, San Fran, etc.
But I don't like this constant ridicule of others that you are doing. If anyone is showing immaturity, it is that very behavior. At least your opponent is coming up with ideas – whereas all I read in your posts is nothing more than 'name calling,' ie infant, stupid, ignorant, etc. No real thought or ideas in your answers. If our country is going to survive this huge schism in worldview we are experiencing, it will require less 'attack' and more well-reasoned and respectful teaching.
Diplomacy can't honestly work in the tribal countries of the Middle East, as their World view and goals don't match ours – and a hand shake frequently means little or nothing.
However, we in America have been raised to come to the table and work things out for the good of all. (If we can get enough honest, thoughtful people there, that is)
I know that the conservative point of view is right. Saving our country is just a matter of getting enough honest people to look at the facts. Those that won't – those that are dishonest and self-serving -will be a minority. I have faith in that.

          • StanW

I will not tolerate the lies from the likes of mazabdul anymore than I will tolerate the pissy little lectures from the likes of you. I notice you take me to task for calling him out and telling me I an disrespectful, while ignoring his lack of respect.

So shove your lecture, Lisa. Diplomacy is not always the answer.

          • mightysamurai

I'm a conservative, support Arizona 100%, and am boycotting LA, San Fran, etc.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

At least your opponent is coming up with ideas

            What?

Look Lis, can I call you Lis? Insulting American workers, copping an arrogant attitude, and being ignorant about the way capitalism works do not count as “ideas”.

          • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

Lisa when people lie, they need to be called on it, ignorance needs education, facts need to be made clear and obvious. The method matters little when the person you're trying to educate refuses to learn or listen.

          • TheDickNixon

            Flagged for namejacking.

          • Trench_Raider

            Overt trolling flagged.

Hawkins, once again, you really need to look into readjusting the Disqus setting to require a registered account to post. I would not do anything about clowns like this new guy “mazabdul”, but it would prevent crap like the post I flagged.

            TR

          • Real Politik

But TR – then *you* become *disappeared* – again.

        • Chicmatt

If you don't like Capitalism, perhaps you should consider moving to a Socialist country.
Oh, never mind, just stay here. You wont have to move after all, because it is coming to you.

          • mazabdul

No see you don't like Capitalism because of immigrants coming in illegally and taking American jobs. Giving Americans a leg up over immigrants is a Socialist tactic. Americans don't deserve a leg up unless they want to work for it. If you protect their jobs you encourage laziness. Tis not rocket science.

          • StanW

You have no understanding of Capitalism, infant. Study up and go through puberty, then try again.

          • KC

Maz is a mess, he seems to think ILLEGALS have rights. Geez Maz listen to Stan and grow some.

          • kozmonot

A friend recently pointed out to me (and sent tons of definitions and historical info to explain it) that what is coming is not socialism, but fascism (where the government starts taking over the country's industries (auto, banks, oil, heathcare, etc. – they've already got their fingers in the pie) – it goes further than socialism.

          • John

Socialism and fascism are on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Fascism implies that a citizens (or businesses) work needs to directly benefit the country (Hitler was a fascist FYI, think an incredibly strong version of our military industrial complex). Socialism is actually very different, it means that some or all or the major pillars of the economy are operated by the government for the benefit of the people. See the difference?

          • Bones9889

Yes, I definitely see how it is becoming more fascist than socialist since most of what is going on is not for the benefit of you or me…well, unless you are a muslim.

          • mightysamurai

Socialism is actually very different, it means that some or all or the major pillars of the economy are operated by the government for the benefit of the people.

I'm sure that's what the socialist dictators say their goals are, but the end result turns out rather different.

          • crawfish

I'm afraid you are incorrect John. Hitler was a member of the NSDAP (National Socialists German Workers Party) which later became the Nazi party due to Hitler's influence. A direct quote from wikipedia “Nazi ideology stressed the failures of communism, liberalism, and democracy” Generally the party was for…workers rights (at least *initially* they supported strikes and other actions that people attribute to union organization. I'm afraid that in many people's minds that Fascism is identical to right wing. In fact it can spawn from either right or left. I quote wikipedia for quick reference, two of the books I've read on the subject: Joachim C. Fest – Hitler; Mein Kampf. “…he gained support by promoting German nationalism, anti-semitism, anti-capitalism, and anti-communism with charismatic oratory and propaganda.” (wiki again) I've read translated versions of roughly 50% of Hitler's speeches and this statement is accurate. There are a long list of other books I've read on the subject, but the core result is that Fascism is neither left nor right. Perpetrators use both sides to achieve their aims. The main component to gaining power is a lack of confidence in government and some sort of crisis. In German the financial crisis was what helped propel Hitler and his party to power. Keep in mind that Hitler was not the creator of the party, he attained power through political maneuvering, intimidating (including protests and assault) opponents and his oratory skills. That sounds familiar…skillful oration, financial crisis, party members attacking opponents (say protests in front of private residences, saying that someone should be in a wheel chair, race card, attempting to disarm the populace, etc…), political maneuvering (acorn)…not positive where I've heard this before..it sounds familiar. Bah..I'm sure Hitler was intending to operate “the government for the benefit of the people.” You're right, there is a major difference isn't there? If you like I can give you more information on Stalin as well…the number of deaths, etc…or the GDR (German Democratic Republic or East Germany as you may know it) under communism…wait for it…wait for it…”was the socialist state established in 1949.” (wiki yet again for brevity) I'm sure that the people felt that “the major pillars of the economy” were (just for linguistic fun) “operated by the government for the benefit of the people.” Try reading a book entitled Under A Cruel Star: A Life in Prague 1941-1968 by Heda Margolius Kovály. Her husband was an economist for the Communist regime. Or read the Communist Manifesto, Locke, or hundreds of other writings by the original. Don't just buy into what either party says and parrot the distortions.

        • Christopher_Taylor

Making money and hiring people isn't about illegal immigration either. Try to stay on target, or are you truly that stupid?

        • mightysamurai

capitalism isn't about making more money

No, child, it isn't. Although I can understand why you might think it's all about that, what with you being…y'know, stupid and all.

    • Christopher_Taylor

Wal*Mart doesn't make the product it sells, son.

    • UFKA_Smithwick

Capitalism =! lawlessness. They are breaking the law, they do not have a right to work here and so they should be sent on their way. Property is still owned by individuals who use it as they see fit. They just have to be citizens.

That's just like the same people who equate libertarian beliefs with anarchists.

    • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

Clearly you're an idiot and failed Econ001

  • Quetzal

Not only LOS ANGLEWORMS but SAN FRANSTINKHOLE as well

  • UFKA_Smithwick

It looks photoshopped. Too bad because it's dead on accurate and those signs need to be put up across every border state except california of course (and in espanol).

  • baoxian

Has to be a hoax. Everybody knows there aren't any jobs in California.

  • dglg03

I think San Francisco is the city of protection. LA is already mostly illegals that do not want further competition. Either way, I am a proud American and support AZ all the way!

  • OH_DR

I can't honestly remember the last time I have seen such a display of childish ignorance as when AZ decided to make illegal immigrants, you know, illegal. By the media frenzy, you would have thought that the SS came in and swept them all in to concentration camps or something.

There needs to be reform of the system by which people legally immigrate, but that will never excuse those who broke the law to enter in the first place.

Also, I'd like to point out that we should apply the same logic to unions as we do to our country's borders:

Not a due-paying member of the SEIU? NO PROBLEM!! You still get FULL union benefits (including healthcare and retirement) without paying a single due, EVER. AND the SEIU is not allowed to seek “illegal union members” because that is profiling and we all know profiling is wrong. So everyone is allowed in and can use their union benefits, but in no way is the union allowed to kick them out–even if they commit a crime, they still can't be asked if they pay their dues or not.

Also, all the due-paying members are not allowed to complain about the “undocumented union members” because then they are raaaaaaaaaaaacist.

    • peddle

The problem was not the “making illegal immigrants illegal”, but rather the fact that they're asking the police force to determine whether they might be illegal by looking at them. It seems like state-enforced racism, regardless of Arizona's (undoubtedly good) intentions.

Additionally, might I add that this is not something we should be using the police for? I'll stay out of the argument of whether or not the law is racist, but surely you must agree that the already taxed and spread thin police force does not need to play border control.

  • Distant

Arizona should rezone their southern tier to make it really advatageous for movie producers to make their movies there. I'm sure once Joy Behr and Oprah Winfrey have “immigrants” breaking into their dressing rooms and leaving trash all over the place, those folks will finally come up with a solution to the problem. They may even build fences.

  • manicdrummer

They could also put up a billboard sign directing them here to Madison, Wisconsin. It's a sanctuary city, even though everyone here tries to deny it. An illegal immigrant can mosey on in to any temp agency in town and they'll hook him up the same day. Liberals and the state government simply turn their heads because dammit, the Democrats need the votes in November! Well, I know who I'm NOT gonna vote for.

  • Vann

The only problem with this billboard is that it says, “Illegal Immigrants”. They are not immigrants in any sense. They are 'illegal aliens”. I wish folks and the media would get it correct – and quit being politically correct. Aliens people!! Aliens!!

  • Earl

don't send those rat bastards here!!!!!

  • Susan

As someone else so aptly put it…..it would be more effective if it was in Spanish!!!
