Arkansas State Troopers Caught Doing THIS, Immediately Receive National Attention

A 10 year-old little boy in Arkansas had the best birthday ever this year. But it didn’t start out that way. Toxey sent out 21 invitations to all his classmates to attend his birthday on April 2nd. No one came. His mother, Angela Andrews, wrote a tearful post on Facebook about the party, or lack thereof. Two days later, a knock was heard at their door and Toxey answered. In front of him were five Arkansas State Troopers. At first he was afraid and thought they were in trouble, but that wasn’t it at all… they were there to throw Toxey a birthday party! They brought the boy gifts and a cake, played basketball with him and let him tour the patrol cars. The kindness of this gesture brings tears to my eyes. They gave that little boy the gift of a lifetime.

From the Daily Mail:

A group of Arkansas State Troopers gave a ten-year-old boy a day to remember after no one in his class showed up for his birthday party.

Toxey, of Hot Springs Village, sent out invitations to all 21 of his classmates, but not a single one attended his tenth birthday party on April 2.

After his mom, Angela Andrews, posted a heartbroken message about the party on Facebook, four state troopers decided to surprise the boy two days later on April 4 by showing up at his front door.

‘Scared and at the same time trying to figure out why they were here,’ Toxey told THV 11 of the moment he saw a group state troopers standing at his door.

The officers stayed and played with Toxey all day long. ‘They showed me all the keys to do the sirens and the horn. I also got to see the cage with the dog in it,’ Toxey said. ‘They had come to give me all that stuff and make up their own birthday party for me,’ Toxey said. Aside from the beautiful cake they brought, the Troopers also brought birthday gifts that ranged from video games, to a Frisbee, to a razor scooter. ‘I cried a little bit because they did that for me,’ Toxey said. ‘If I am remembering right, this is the only birthday that I have had with people coming.’ Arkansas State Police identified the officers as Cpl. David Frothman and Troopers Terry Sawyer, Kyle Sheldon, Brandon Cook and Tim Callison, according to WHIO. When the event finished, Toxey’s mom took to Facebook again and posted a very long thank you note for the wonderful things they did for her son. ‘I don’t even know where to start because thank you just doesn’t seem good enough!’ she wrote. ‘After I made a post Saturday about Toxey being disappointed that no one came to his birthday party, an Arkansas State Trooper heard about the post.’ This was an incredibly kind act and a thoughtful one. These men did something that Toxey will remember his whole life. This is why I love police officers. They are just awesome.
