Well, kind of. If you thought that Ali Muhammad would have a ‘come to Jesus’ moment after being robbed at gun point, you should probably rethink that fantasy. After being robbed, he gave a lame (and I mean LAME) thank you to the police: “Police can be hostile and very belligerent,” he said. “Friday night, I met some officers who (were) about business, and that was getting a bad guy off the street.”

In fact, Muhammad seemed to have more feelings for the perp than the people he robbed. “To just go out late at night and throw your life away, robbing people, that’s hurting,” he said. Ya think? But never fear, Muhammad said he is “very anti-police,” but not against “police relations and community relations.” Well, all forgiven then – not. The New Black Panthers are violent, racist thugs.

A member of the New Black Panthers Party in Tampa, notorious for his anti-police sentiment, has a new found appreciation for police after being robbed at gunpoint.

After a night working as a DJ at a local club, activist Ali Muhammad was walking home at 3 a.m. when he was stopped by an armed thief.

“I was approached by a young black male who just came up to me and said, ‘Give me your earrings and your backpack,’” he said. “He took everything I had. At the time, he didn’t take my cell phone, and that’s what made me call 911.”

After he rang the police for help, Muhammad followed the dirt bag who had robbed him until the police told him to stop. While following the criminal, Muhammad saw him rob another victim. “One lady, she was in tears. She said she couldn’t believe it. He had the gun in her mouth,” he recounted. A hero Muhammad is not – a coward, yep. The robber was a black man named Anwan Robertson, who is 18. He was arrested and the items he took were returned. Muhammad then “congratulated the police.” Seriously? Don’t bother.

And now for the racist part of this complete breakfast, with a big ole helping of misogyny: “Every black life is valuable right now, especially a black male, and for him to keep going on with the norm, continue with the process of going to jail and ending your life like that, as our boys are doing nowadays, it’s very hurting,” Muhammad added.

Sounds to me like he’s just as anti-cop as ever. Thomas Lifson, of the American Thinker, had the perfect response: “His words show more human feeling toward the perp, who is throwing his life away, than for the officers who righted the injustice at risk of their lives. He’s still taking sides against them,” Lifson added. Bingo… this Panther is not changing his spots, or whatever… he’s still a stone cold hater and a would be terrorist.
