Dissatisfaction With Government Tops List Of American Concerns

I’m not going to make this post about “climate change”, but, can you guess what’s missing?

(Washington Times[1]) Dissatisfaction with government topped the list for Americans of most important problems facing the country last year for the first time in Gallup records, also marking the first year since 2007 that the economy was not the top ranking issue.

Complaints about government leadership led the list at 18 percent, followed by the economy in general at 17 percent, unemployment or jobs at 15 percent, and healthcare at 10 percent, Gallup said.

This is based on the yearly readouts from Gallup polls. Gallup notes

The dispersion of public concern seen in 2014 may also have implications for the 2016 presidential election. Should it persist, the lack of a single defining public issue could make candidates’ task of honing a message for the election more complex.

Many typical left wing (manufactured) concerns polled low. Many typical Republican concerns also polled low. Of course, we have two years to go before the 2016 presidential election. But, the end of 2015 will see the start of the runup to the elections, with candidates declaring, debates happening, issues being run up the flagpole.

But, yeah, “climate change” not only isn’t next to last or last, it fails to even materialize on the list. Huh.
