Q&A Friday #104: What About The Kindle & Other E-Readers?

Do you own a Kindle or other e-reader? What’s your take on the technology? — Francis Cazayoux

To be honest, I’ve never really understood the appeal of the Kindle. Granted, you can get books cheaper on it — $9.99 or less. But, it costs $189 so you’d have to buy a lot of books to make up for the cost. Additionally, it’s neat that you can carry 3,500 books around with you on the Kindle and I guess I could see how that could save you a little storage space, but that’s not $189 worth of useful in my book.

Of course, you’re talking to a guy who only uses a cell phone when he goes on long trips or to political conventions; so I’m probably not the target audience for the Kindle anyway.
