When A Well-Known U.S. Company Slams White People In New Ad, It’s A Problem [VIDEO]

The subject of race has been one that has caused much controversy recently, with everyone on all sides getting extremely heated during the discussion. It’s something that is obviously very personal, given that it’s a part of yourself that you have no control over, so it feels awful when it’s the reason people have certain opinions about you.

Instead of working toward racial unity – as opposed to the racial divide we’ve been experiencing the last 8 years – popular American company Proctor & Gamble is fanning the flames.

The ad is called “The Talk” and it has a lot of people angry. Many are even calling it one of the most racist commercials that has ever been allowed to air.

In the video, which is a little over two minutes, it features black parents explaining to their children how the world is against them because white people are racist.

It’s one of those things that is unbelievable, yet totally something you would expect to see in this day and age. It’s sad to know that it’s 2017 and we still have parents convincing their children that they are victims of genetics, and they’ll never make it because of their skin color.

For those who don’t know, Proctor & Gamble manufactures products like Cascade, Febreze, Mr. Clean, Tide, Swiffer, Downy and a slew of other household products that you probably use every day.

This is a terrible way to advertise your products. This is a social statement, not a product pitch. You’re not explaining to me why I should buy your product over another brand’s version of the same thing, you’re trying to shame me for my skin color and “start a conversation.” A commendable goal to be sure, but not something your company should be involved in.

This was just in bad taste.
