So, If This Can Happen In Britain, Why Can’t It Happen Here?
Written By : John Hawkins

We live in a country where newspapers, TV shows, and comedians that openly mock Christians are AFRAID to do the same thing to Muslims. We have Muslims who want to build a celebratory victory mosque at Ground Zero and there are liberals bending over backwards to encourage them in the name of tolerance. Yet, if you suggest that radical Islam is culturally corrosive and we could actually end up with Sharia law in the US, people roll their eyes. Obviously, that couldn’t happen here.

However, across the pond, it’s already happening to our British cousins. Here’s Mark Steyn at The Corner,

Andrew, I don’t agree with everything Nick Cohen says (particularly in those passages where he himself feels obliged to lapse into equivalism) but he’s right about liberalism’s retreat into a cowed quiescence, both in Pakistan and in the heart of the west. By way of a (so far) less bloody example:

A prominent British imam has been forced to retract his claims that Islam is compatible with Darwin’s theory of evolution after receiving death threats from fundamentalists.

This is not in Lahore or Cairo but in London, at what is described as “a prominent mosque which also runs one of the country’s largest sharia courts” – in other words, a religious institution that already enjoys the imprimatur of state approval, albeit not (yet) to the same degree as in Pakistan. The imam, Dr Hasan, has issued a groveling apology – “I seek Allah’s forgiveness for my mistakes” – but they still want to kill him. Note the following line in the story:

Police advised him not to attend after becoming concerned for his safety.

As I’ve written before, “security concerns” are the new black(out) – the means by which those who are meant to enforce the law equally instead pre-emptively reward bullying mobsters who have total contempt for it. In this case, it may even be that this helpful advice was provided by Muslim police officers, who in Britain, Canada and Europe are often happy to serve as state enforcers for Islamic intimidation.

Twenty five years ago, if you’d told Brits that Shariah would be the law of the land in parts of Britain — and it is — and that radical Muslims would regularly threaten people into submission — and they do — do you think they would have believed it? Do you think liberals and government officials in the United States would be less willing to capitulate or more willing to stand up against threats? So far, there’s absolutely no evidence that’s the case.

That’s why people who refuse to back down one inch in the fight against radical Islam are so valuable. Those people, like Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Mark Steyn, David Horowitz, Andrew McCarthy, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the others like them are the thin line between America and what’s going on in Britain today.

I’m glad I’m Jewish. After university, I’m using the Right of Return and will do a tour of duty in the IDF. After that, I will come back to North America for work, but if things get bad enough, I’ll always be able to return to my homeland.

The rest of you might want to consider all moving to only a handful of States in order to concentrate yourselves, thereby preventing Shariah takeover.

Seems like you’re playing both sides of the fence. Good for you, I mean to quote the ghetto, which was originally a word to reference your people, “Don’t hate the playa, hate the game”. Sharia law is a bunch of shit that some dudes created to try and control people. I find it funny that you people think that it’s coming to Amerika. But I’ll agree with you about people who think like you moving to a handful of states. I suggest all of the ones that made up the CONfederacy. That way you could leave the rest of Amerika to intelligent, free thinkers, who don’t succumb to crazy theories. Tell me something, did you ever read the weekly world news?

It is called, “going where the work is”, tool. Not a lot of work for an outdoor guide in Israel, plenty in North America.

The CONfederacy – where the DemocRATS are from, you will fit right in there Con you racist slave owning piece of shat.

Celebritory victory mosque? Personally, the so called ground zero mosque is a personal property, land use issue. I don’t remember you Khristian bitches needing permissions to build your celebirtory churches on former Indian (or do you people still refer to them as Redskins) land? Sharia law is something that is not taught in the Koran and its again to the dogma that the Souther Baptists have spewed out for generations. Its all designed to control people. The Muslims that live here are one of the most highly educated, freedome loving people on this planet. We have the same issues you have, work, kids, retirement, blah, blah, blah, blah. Why don’t you bitches sack up and confront people who would try to abridge your 1st Amendment rights instead of crying about it like a bunch of fucking babies. Whatever happen to the Anglo-Saxon’s resolve?

    • http://www.facebook.com/jayhoffer Justin Hoffer

Wait. You’re calling us racists, and yet you refer to the Aboriginal North Americans as Indians? India is in Asia, dude.

I know where the hell India is. Shit, I’m probably one of the few people on this regressive thread that can pick it out on a map. Normally, I call them Natives, considering that on my father’s side I have Bayougoula ancestry. But there are still people that refer to them as Indians and I didn’t want to confuse them. Now, when I speak about actual Indians, I refer to them being from the sub-continent. As shalom alaikum

All right, guys, who’s the spoof troll? I know no one can be this clueless and presumptuous at the same time. The cognitive dissonance would cause their head to explode.

I just can from another blog site that suggested MSM was trying to ‘protect’ people from the truth of Islam. The be nice theory.
I suggested in my answer that it was not to protect us, but to infect us.
It is not so much fear, maybe just a little, but the promotion of the delusional looney left’s agenda and their idea of utopia.
You see MSM is our nanny, we their little know nothing children whom they have to micro manage in Everything. It is for our very own good that they promote their false agenda.
That is why they are having a hard time getting ratings or papers sold.

It is disheartening to see this amount of disgusting bigotry anywhere in America at this time in our history, after such long battles to bring true freedom to Black people and other minorities including Jews. The battle is not over, but is being slowly won, by Muslims and other minorities still being attacked. What remains of it is nonetheless destructive.

    Are you people really Americans?

    Bye.

Yes I agree Muslims are bigots. Why can’t they accept American rule of law as it is, instead of trying to force their religious law on us?

Wolf, someday some one might just find out who you really are and it will be a great embarrassment for you to explain such ignorant statements. Even I am embarrassed for you.

        • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

Nice try slowjoe, but everyone on this board but you knows I’m right. Muslims are bigots, they hate all non-Muslims and they have vowed to bring Sharia to all of the world.

Being an ignoramus with his head shoved up his ass is your problem, not mine.

This must be some sort of automated text-generating bot. It slings together random catch phrases based on a quick search for key words in the OP. Or when it fails to understand the OP it is geared to respond to it just defaults to calling everyone racist.

I think it needs some fine-tuning.

Free speech and routinely using threats of violence to silence dissenting views; you can have one of these things, not both at the same time.

It’s sad that in Europe threats of violence are seen as acceptable when Islam is the ‘offended’ party.

This is a Christian Science Monitor video, showing three American Muslims talking about misconceptions of Islam in the US. It might act as an antidotes to the bigotry expressed by some on this site. I don’t think RWN wants to become a source of intolerance to minorities and misunderstandings of religions.

Did they mention that 100% of the population of AL Quaeda, hamas, and hezbollah are muslim?

      • Anonymous

No, possibly because all of those orgs, including those fighting military occupations, do not include more than 0.03% of all Muslim people. There are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. So what’s your point?

        • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

Islamic terrorists and extremists make up closer to 10% of Islamics. That’s 160 million worldwide.

So Pam Geller is a hero of the right? This is unbelievable. Sorry if I didn’t go personally to cover this story, so that I could offer my own opinions first hand, but I do have a second hand opinion: Geller’s not a nice person and an unAmerican foreigner. She not conceivably have grown up in America, IMO.

Richard Silverstein of Tikun Olam doesn’t think she’s very nice as well, as he reports:

Pam Geller Named to Southern Poverty Law Center Hate Hall of Fame

“The Southern Poverty Law Center comes a bit late to the game in understanding the power and danger of anti-Muslim hate. But they’ve made great strides by naming Pam Geller’s Stop the Islamization of America as an official hate group, alongside such wonderful representatives of the species as the Westboro Baptist Church, the Aryan Nation, KKK, and the Nation of Islam. It’s about time Pam was recognized for her important contribution to the genre of hate.”

This comes from a Jerusalem site, Dicky boy, a peace site called Desert Peace. And here we see even the Israeli and American flags used to cover bigotry…..

“It’s sad to see even among racist elements in the United States a repetition of their past mistakes. They obviously do not see their hatred as a mistake so they continue with it, even going as far as expanding their beliefs to include those of in the zionist camp. As with all movements, there always seems to be the element known as ‘connections’, unfortunately even in this case.

Billed as a “Patriotic Rally,” the anti-Muslim demonstration was organized by official hate group leader Pam Geller, Tea Party outfits including the North Orange County Conservative Coalition and We Surround Them OC 912; and Rabbi David Eliezrie of the Yorba Linda chapter of Chabad-Lubavitch, a messianic Orthodox Jewish group. Though Chabad does not make its political positions explicit, I have learned through first hand experience how extreme its leadership is, especially in Southern California.

Chabad’s Rabbi Eliezrie appeared at the Yorba Linda hate rally with an Israeli flag in one hand and an American flag in the other. Other participants displayed the Israeli flag as well. In fact, the Israeli flag seemed to be peeking out from a cluster of American flags that formed the backdrop for speakers including Republican Rep’s Ed Royce and Gary Miller, who both railed against the Muslim presence in Orange County. At 4:06 in the video, the crowd can be seen hectoring a Muslim couple with the chant, “We support Israel!” As even Haaretz has noticed, the Israeli flag is becoming a key symbol for a trans-Atlantic neo-fascist axis that thrives on violent resentment towards Muslim and Arab immigrants. Given the ethnocratic basis of the Israeli state and the country’s settler-colonial ethos, the trend is not ironic or very surprising.”
