Desperate RINOs Scheme to Deliberately Throw Election to Hillary

As you might have guessed from the venom they have been spewing, there is nothing that liberal GOP establishmentarians would not do to keep conservatives out of the White House — and I do mean nothing:

Former Utah governor Jon Huntsman, who unsuccessfully sought the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, says he’s getting “a lot” of encouragement to launch another White House bid from Republicans concerned about the prospect of Donald Trump as the 2016 GOP nominee.

This time, to run as an independent.

There is zero chance that the unpopular Huntsman would win the election. But with help from the GOP establishment (GOPe) media, he might get enough votes to throw the election from Trump or Cruz to Shrillary. That’s the idea.

Speaking of the GOPe media, Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard is fairly upfront about the strategy:

I’ve got a name for it: the Spoiler Party. That would be its sole point, because if the checkered-pants–wearing crony capitalist Big Government Republicans who stuck us with McCain and Romney still had any numbers, they would have a candidate polling above Rubio’s 10%.

As Ben Shapiro noted on Monday,

Kristol isn’t alone. As I wrote at Daily Wire today, Politico’s Jeff Greenfield says, “If the operatives I talked with are right, Trump running as a Republican could well face a third-party run – from the Republicans themselves.” That follows last Thursday’s Politico column from former New Jersey governor Christine Todd Whitman, who compared Trump to Hitler and called him “evil,” and last Wednesday’s Politico column reporting that Jeb Bush’s aides “began looking into the possibility of making a clear break with Trump – potentially with the candidate stating that, if Trump were the nominee, Bush would not support him.”

Last week, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said that former Mississippi governor Haley Barbour “and a lot of the Republican leaders would much rather Hillary Clinton be President of the United States than have Donald Trump represent them as a Republican.” And in November, The Hill reported that “GOP establishment donors have confided to The Hill that for the first time in recent memory, they find themselves contemplating not supporting a Republican nominee for president.”

I’m old enough to remember when it was scandalous for Trump not to pledge his allegiance to the eventual Republican nominee. Now, day after day, reports from party leaders leak, stating that should Trump gain control over the party apparatus, they will simply smash the machinery.

The same attitude was on display when Mitt Romney refused to endorse Goldwater or Reagan. In their desperation, liberal Republicans have escalated hostilities against their conservative enemies.

The strategy of running a third party spoiler to throw the election to their Democrat allies is similar to that used in France’s recent elections to keep the National Front out of office:

[I]n two key regions where the National Front was running actual Le Pens, Marine Le Pen in Nord, and her very photogenic niece Marion in Provence, the Establishment parties were so panicked that the center-Left candidates withdrew so the anti-Le Pen vote wouldn’t be split. The strategy worked: The center-Right won both regions.

But those withdrawals play directly into what we on the Dissident Right have been saying for years: That on National Question issues—immigration, multiculturalism, Political Correctness, demographic transformation—the big established parties are indistinguishable, their pretence at differences just a sham.

In the USA, it would be the liberal “center-right” that falls on its sword — as if it makes any difference in the long run.

Although Trump is a liberal in many respects, his stance on the most important issue of our time, Third World immigration, is far to the right of anything the RINO establishment will countenance. If the more reliably conservative Ted Cruz wins the nomination, the GOPe will probably go even more haywire.

The parade has become an angry stampede.
