John McCain Formally Censured by Arizona Republican Party

Congratulations to the quintessential RINO, John “Lettuce” McCain. This ought to be a real feather in his cap from the point of view of the liberals in the government and media that he has made a career of sucking up to, even while duping Arizona voters into regarding him as the least awful candidate election after election:

The Arizona Republican Party formally censured Sen. John McCain on Saturday, citing a voting record they say is insufficiently conservative.

We won’t have another chance to vote against Lettuce until 2016. He will be 80, but has announced he may run anyway, like an elderly Lucy still offering to hold the football for Charlie Brown in her arthritic claws. But this time a clear signal has been sent that Arizona Republicans are not in the mood to take yet another kick at the ball, only to land on their backs as it is predictably snatched away.

According to the resolution, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee has campaigned as a conservative but has lent his support to issues “associated with liberal Democrats,” such as immigration reform and to funding the law sometimes known as Obamacare.

This gives an idea of how richly the censure is deserved:

Fred DuVal, a Democrat who plans to run for Arizona governor, called the censure an “outrageous response to the good work Sen. McCain did crafting a reasonable solution to fix our broken immigration system.”

After showing a conspicuous lack of interest in beating Obama in 2008, McShame got reelected to the Senate in 2010 by promising that he had learned his lesson regarding amnesty for illegal aliens, a red hot issue in Arizona, on which he had aggressively pitted himself against his constituents. Some evidently fell for the lie.

As soon as he was safely back in office, McLame immediately tacked hard left. He is now an open advocate of amnesty and a key ally of Obama.

If there is one politician on earth who should make you consider voting Democrat, that politician is John McCain.

The censure is welcome, especially if it dissuades McStain from running again. But a recall would be better still.
