What Karl Rove Says About Me

It was brought to my attention that Karl Rove offered some criticism of me on this site.: :  What he said was rather harmless — though inaccurate.:  If you’ll forgive the shameless plug, the real story is in my book, SPEECH*LESS:: Tales of a White House Survivor.:  : I also offered some comments here:

The only thing that I really want to clear up is that I never, ever worked at the State Department, as: Karl says, but at the Department of Defense.:  Quite a difference.

Although Rove thinks my criticisms of him are personal, they aren’t.:  I think he has lots to offer the GOP — as a commentator.:  I: just happen to think his efforts — on spending, new entitlement programs, campaign finance reform, the McCain: campaign, illegal immigration and unseating the conservative government of Texas last month — have left the Republican Party, and more important the conservative movement in an unrecgonizable mess.:  A mess from which we are still trying to: recover.
