Ranking The Political Bloggers
Written By : John Hawkins

Here's my list of the best political "bloggers" on the net. Do keep a few things in mind about this list. I did not take into account who I've interviewed, who links me, how much traffic a page gets, how new or old a "blog" is, etc. However, I am Conservative so there are no frothing at the mouth Chomskyites who made the list. Also, keep in mind that this list is fairly malleable. There are people who aren't on this list at all who would of been top 10 a month ago and some who wouldn't of made my top 25 a month ago who made the list this time. With that said, dig in...

Honorable Mentions: PejmanPundit, The Weigh In, Yourish.com, James Lileks, Overlawyered

10) Vodka Pundit: This page is Instapundit-lite =)

9) Happy Fun Pundit: One of the few truly funny political pages out there. Would rank higher if they wrote more.

8) Matt Welch: Welch never commits the cardinal sin of being boring.

7) Damian Penny: Quality writing + a lot of passion ='s #7.

6) Dawn Olsen: Olsen is a sex drenched, highly opinionated, writer who always entertains.

5) Andrew Sullivan: Sullivan keeps your attention even if you disagree with him. He's easily the most influential political blogger.

4) Tim Blair: In my opinion, Blair is the best writer in the "blogosphere". If he wrote more he could contend for the top spot.

3) The Corner: With Goldberg, Lowry, Ponnuru and company doing the writing what's not to like?

2) Little Green Footballs: This is the most underrated political blog out there. Johnson is an excellent writer.

1) Instapundit: Glenn Reynolds does quality work, pumps out a lot of links, and often has an interesting perspective on what he writes. He deserves the big audience he has.
