Legendary Wrestler Needs Rest for First Time in 40 Years

Last week I wrote a piece about the dire condition of WWE wrestling legend “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. His handlers had originally tried to downplay the reason for his hospital admission, claiming that it was for routine monitoring. Unfortunately, his situation took a turn for the worse and people who knew what was going on began asking for prayers.

Well, his situation has taken another turn and this time, fans are happy with the news they’ve received.

According to Flair’s representative, Melinda Morris Zanoni, the wrestler is now awake and talking, but is going to need some rest “for the first time in 40 years.”

Flair also thanked his supporters for their well wishes and support. His daughter Charlotte posted a message of thanks on her Instagram profile as well.

“On behalf of my family and I, we want to THANK everyone for the prayers, texts, calls and support.”

Zanoni is encouraging people to follow only official accounts related to Flair for updates about his heath and not to believe non-official accounts of what is going on behind closed doors.

For those who may not have been aware, it was reported that Flair was rushed to the hospital after heart complications arose, but his people quickly quashed those rumors, stating that he was just in for a routine check-up.

Whatever the case may be, I think we can all agree that we’re glad that he is not only awake, but communicating in a meaningful way. There is nothing more frightening than having a health scare, especially for someone who has engaged in such an extreme sport at WWE.

We will continue to wish Nature Boy all the best and hope for a speedy recovery, so that he may get back to what he loves doing and can stay with his family for as long as the good Lord intended.
