BREAKING: Dept Of Homeland Security RESPONDS To Ariana Grande Tragedy

The world was devastated when news broke of a terrorist attack in Manchester last night, during an Ariana Grande concert. Leaders from around the world have begun to weigh in, with Donald Trump notoriously referring to the terrorists as “evil losers.” And the Department of Homeland Security has begun to weigh in.

Monday evening, an official statement was released from DHS. Authorities said that they do not believe music venues in the United States are at risk, but that Americans should remain cautious all the same. They also said that they are working closely with the United Kingdom to investigate the attack and monitor the situation.

“The Department of Homeland Security is closely monitoring the situation at Manchester Arena in the United Kingdom. We are working with our foreign counterparts to obtain additional information about the cause of the reported explosion as well as the extent of injuries and fatalities,” the statement read.

“U.S. citizens in the area should heed direction from local authorities and maintain security awareness. We encourage any affected U.S. citizens who need assistance to contact the U.S. Embassy in London and follow Department of State guidance.

At this time, we have no information to indicate a specific credible threat involving music venues in the United States. However, the public may experience increased security in and around public places and events as officials take additional precautions.

We stand ready to assist our friends and allies in the U.K. in all ways necessary as they investigate and recover from this incident.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this incident.”

The attack comes on the heels of Trump’s first overseas visit as President, which included a stop in Saudi Arabia, where he called for Muslims to do more to stop terrorism. Currently, Trump is in Israel for the next leg of his trip, which will conclude with stops in Vatican City and Belgium.

How do you think the United States should respond to this attack?
