This Week In Quotes: Jan 18 – Jan 24

Only liberals are cheered on by the media to let their ideological freak flags fly. When liberals offer “advice” (or “analysis”) to conservatives, it’s always the same:

1. We must compromise.

2. We must concede the general outline of the liberal agenda.

3. We must buckle under — For our survival!

And what bothers us at this point isn’t that this is unfair; it is, but we’re used to it.

We’re just sick to death of being f*cking lied to every f*cking day by organizations which, although claiming to have the mission of truth, are now dedicated to lying to the audience.

Day in, day out.

They will continue denying the undeniable — that they are liberal, and root for liberals, and consciously slant their coverage in favor of liberals (and congratulate each other for scoring points on conservatives).

And we will continue to be incensed by it, just as any human being will be incensed by someone telling the same childishly-ridiculous lie to his f*cking face over and over and over again. — Ace

As I sat and watched Obama surrounded by little human political shields, three things struck me as being especially hypocritical:

1. Just a few years ago, the president would have supported murdering all of those children by dismemberment.

2. The president would have classified their dismemberment as “health care” within a comprehensive reform package necessary to preserve the well-being of children, and finally

3. All the children at the press conference were protected from being murdered at that particular moment by government agents carrying concealed weapons. — Mike Adams

Do not be self-congratulatory about how brave you [are] for being for this” gun control push, he said. “The only brave people are the people who are going to lose their jobs if they vote with you. — Bill Clinton

With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make? — Hillary Clinton

Had I been president at the time and I had found that you had not read the cables from Benghazi, you had not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens, I would have relieved you of your post. Not to know of the requests for security really, I think, cost these people their lives. I don’t suspect you of bad motives, it’s a failure of leadership not to be involved. It’s a failure of leadership not to know these things. — Rand Paul to Hillary Clinton

Do the math. A two-earner couple who retired in 2011 after making $89,000 per year will have paid about $114,000 into Medicare over their lifetimes but will receive $355,000. — Jonah Goldberg

Last year, Republicans learned the hard way that lessons from the 2010 midterms weren’t translatable to 2012 – the types of voters who showed up at the polls were demographically different from the presidential cycles. In 2010, 77 percent of the electorate was white; in 2012, that number dropped to 72 percent. Young voters under the age of 30 made up a scant 12 percent of the 2010 electorate, but nearly comprised one-fifth of the vote in 2008 and 2012. Those who believe the Democratic Party is ascendant believe the longterm trend lines are clear: The emerging parts of the electorate favor Democrats and Republicans are doomed to irrelevance unless they move to the center, pronto. — Josh Kraushaar

Personally, I don’t understand how it makes sense to conclude that Republicans lost the presidential election because they were too partisan and too extreme, when Obama won while being conspicuously partisan and quite extreme. — David Limbaugh

This guy, this Limbaugh, this is one of the most vile human beings ever to live! If Limbaugh had the power he would open gas chambers! If Limbaugh had the power, he would line up people up against the wall and execute them! If Limbaugh had the power, he would destroy children because he can’t have any! The only thing he sees in children as sex partners! This is a sick, evil, degenerate man! Why is he on the air? This is not First Amendment protected speech! This son of a bitch is evil, rotten to the core! — Mike Malloy

What concerns me about the repudiation of the [Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists] is that the 9/11 Truthers are being tarred with the same “crackpot” brush. Yes, many of the September Eleventh conspiracy theories are implausible, and too often veer, as conspiracy theories unfortunately tend to do, toward the anti-Semitic. But unlike with Sandy Hook, 9/11 conspiracy theories flow from a scientific fact: whatever the 9/11 Commission Report might claim, fire generated by burning jet fuel is not hot enough to melt steel. As with JFK’s “Magic Bullet,” the official version asks us to pretend that the laws of physics do not exist. This opens the door for alternative versions, however ridiculous, that must at least be considered–even if, as was probably the case in the aftermath of the JFK assassination, the cover-up was well-intended, and not the case of an evil shadow government doing evil shadow-government things. — Greg Olear

He doesn’t. He doesn’t like them (Republicans). It’s pretty clear that he doesn’t. Because he feels they are the purveyors of “white privilege.” And, he’s never going to say that. But, that’s the theme that runs through his advisers. The white privilege has to be broken down… The Republican agenda, in his mind, in the president’s mind, props up white privilege. Therefore, as the social justice champion he has to tear that down. — Bill O’Reilly

Under this Administration, the military has become a Christianity-free zone. As a veteran, there’s an irony here. You put on the uniform to defend freedom – chief among them is freedom of religion. And yet, you are stripped of your own freedom to practice your faith. — Tony Perkins

Liberalism is based almost completely on the idea that Liberals represent victimized groups. That’s how they define themselves; we defend blacks, we defend Jews, we defend gays, we defend women. The flip side of that coin is that if Liberals define themselves by defending victimized groups then that means that Conservatives, in disagreeing with Liberals, are targeting victimized groups. They hate black people, they hate gay people, they hate women. — Ben Shapiro

Americans who want to escape state income taxes and live near better job prospects can move to one of those nine states that I mentioned above.

It’s no surprise they produce more jobs. Without an income tax, those states were forced to limit the growth of their governments, so they did. Every state has schools, social service programs, prisons, etc., but those states find a way to fund those things for less. Then they reap benefits.

Last decade, those nine states gained population and increased jobs by 4.9 percent; jobs in the rest of the states declined by 2.6 percent. — John Stossel
