abndtwn1[1]A town time forgot was discovered by a man hiking through Elkmont, Tenneesee. He came across it after exploring along an unnamed gravel road in the park. [2] It had been deserted, virtually untouched as if its residents had had all left instantly.

According to The Daily Mail Online,

Jordan Liles, who currently lives in San Diego, California, was in Tennessee back in May 2013 when he decided to take some photos  during a trek through Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Those photos turned out to be incredibly interesting when the young man managed to stumble across a seemingly forgotten town the woods.

You have to wonder, when was it deserted, and why? Does it qualify as a ghost town? What happened to its inhabitants? We may never know. Expect a creepy movie in the making…
