Al Sharpton’s Daughter Sues NYC for Twisted Ankle- But Her Social Media Postings May Soon Ruin Her Plan

It seems that Al Sharpton isn’t the only Sharpton who is an outright scumbag. His daughter is suing New York City for $5 million after she sprained her ankle while walking on a sidewalk and the litigious offspring of America’s top race-hustler recently posted on social media a collection of pictures of her living it up in Las Vegas and even pictures of her rock climbing. The Daily Mail reports:

Al Sharpton’s daughter was warned by New York City’s lawyers not to delete any of the photos she posts to social media – so apparently she opted to add to her online collection while in Las Vegas.

Dominique Sharpton, 28, who was told not to erase any mountain climbing photos she uploaded on social media after suing the city for $5million over a sprained ankle, is still posting to Instagram.

On Friday, she posted a photo from the Venetian Hotel with the caption:’Vegas nights with the fam!’

Ms Sharpton followed that post with a picture of her younger sister Ashley floating in the arms of a man in a sparkling blue pool and tagged it: ‘Ash catching flow #vegas.’

She also tweeted that she was going to see Mariah Carey’s show in Vegas on Saturday night.

Tickets for the singer’s Sunday performance in Sin City start at around $220 on StubHub.

Rev Sharpton’s eldest daughter claims she ‘still suffers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries’ after tripping over uneven pavement in Soho in Manhattan last October.

Before filing the large lawsuit on May 7, Ms Sharpton shared pictures of herself hiking in Red Rock Canyon outside Las Vegas with a friend despite the ‘permanent’ injuries she suffered before the suit.

In response to the Manhattan Supreme Court suit, city Law Department lawyer Michele Fox sent Ms Sharpton a letter on May 20 warning her to preserve all the photos, the New York Post reported.

Fox wrote: ‘The purpose of this letter is to demand that plaintiff preserve any photographs, documents, communications and any other information, both tangible and electronically stored, potentially relevant to her alleged trip and fall.

‘This demand should be construed broadly to encompass materials related to plaintiff’s health, mobility, activity or physical limitations after the alleged incident.’

Her lawsuit is now worth $5,00 to $7,500 because Ms Sharpton’s demonstrated in her Instagram pictures that the injury is no longer impairing her quality of life, legal experts told the newspaper.

Ms Sharpton, the membership director for her dad’s organization the National Action Network, posted a picture on sunning herself by a pool in the Gili Islands, writing ‘#Balidays on the Gilis!!!’ and sparked outrage after she posted a selfie from a mountaintop while on vacation.

‘We hiked UP the mountain, over the clouds… into the SUNRISE,’ she wrote on the photo.

‘One of the most beautiful sites ever. And YES I ALMOST DIED GETTING UP THERE LOL. #Balidays we made it, WHEW.’

Fox also told Ms Sharpton to keep all her ‘cameras (digital and non-digital) e-mails, text messages, cellular phones, tablets and any other device’.

‘Live your life off social media if you have a case,’ personal injury lawyer David Jaroslawicz told the Post..

‘If she’s going to claim she’s disabled, the first thing you tell your client is, ‘Don’t live on social media,’ because even if you don’t lie, it makes you look bad.’

Ms Sharpton’s lawyer told the Post: ‘She did sustain multiple ligament and tendon tears in her ankle,’ adding that that despite her athletic feat this weekend, she ‘has not returned to her pre-accident form.’

Ms Sharpton wants damages for the ‘loss of quality of life, future pain and suffering, future medical bills, [and] future diminution of income,’ according to court papers.

She was seen in a walking boot in the weeks following the fall.

However, by December, she attended National Action Network’s Justice for All march in Washington, DC, and was able to walk freely during a New Year’s Eve vacation to Miami Beach.

It is this kind of frivolous lawsuit that jams our court system and burdens taxpayers who have to front the bill. Thankfully, Ms. Sharpton’s vanity and need for attention has drawn attention to the fact that she is not suffering from a diminished quality of life- she’s just looking for a payday.
