Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson has done it again: proclaiming truth to America in a speech given at the “I Stand Sunday” event in Houston on November 2, 2014. The event was to support Christian pastors in Houston in their right to free speech and standing for biblical values.

Robertson began his amazing speech—or what could be described as a sermon—by reminding the audience that the United States were founded on biblical truth.

“America, America. It cannot be said too strongly or too often that this great nation was not founded by religionists, but by Christians. Not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” Robertson said, attributing the quote to Founding Father and Patriot, Patrick Henry.

“The Apostle Paul said the Gospel has divine power to demolish strongholds,” Robertson continued. “The reason the political pundits argue ad hominem, ad infinitum—the reason no one ever changes their mind on television night after night after night after night—they call each other left, right, liberal, right wing, left wing, but there’s never any gospel there. Ever. No talk about sin. No talk about sin. No talk about repentance. None. No talk about Jesus, the Son of God. Nothing. And we wonder why we wound up like we are [sic].”

But the crowd got really stirred when he continued, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel. Because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.”
