Bill O’Reilly Shreds Pretend ‘Journalist’ Jose Ramos for Defending Illegal Alien Criminals

Univision’s Jorge Ramos continues to pretend that he is a journalist when, in reality, he is an activist. On Wednesday, Ramos and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly got into a heated exchange when Ramos tried to assert that he was a journalist.

In a heated interview last night, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly slammed Univision anchor Jorge Ramos as a pretend “journalist” over Ramos’ open advocacy for illegal aliens and amnesty.

O’Reilly got especially upset after Ramos opposed a law that would enforce the law against illegal alien criminals, like the one who murdered Kate Steinle

The San Francisco woman shot to death by an illegal alien who’d been deported five times but kept returning to the United States really set O’Reilly off. “Kate’s Law” has been proposed  to close this outrageous legal loophole and put illegal alien criminals behind bars.

Ramos thinks the law is “unfair” to illegal alien felons, causing O’Reilly to erupt in outrage.

“You don’t care!” O’Reilly shouted.

Ramos, a wealthy Mexican-born U.S. citizen who said “I’ve never stopped being Mexican” and says he votes in both countries, said the notion of building a wall at the southern border was a “completely absurd idea,” claiming that 40 percent of people who are here illegally enter legally but overstayed their visas.

The discussion soon veered into Kate’s law, a proposal that would mandate a five-year sentence for anyone who is convicted of an aggravated felony, is deported and re-enters the United States illegally.

“You support that?” O’Reilly asked.

“No, because I don’t think you are approaching the problem in a global way,” Ramos said.

“It’s outrageous!” O’Reilly shot back. “It’s outrageous!”

When Ramos claimed he wasn’t there to defend criminals, the Fox News host shouted, “You are! You’re an enabler! Jorge, you’re enabling that guy, Sanchez!” referring to Francisco Sanchez, the Mexican national accused of killing Kate Steinle on a San Francisco pier.

“You not supporting Kate’s law means that you don’t care!” O’Reilly added.

Things got really heated about the 5:30 mark, when O’Reilly accused Ramos of engaging in activist-journalism.

“You’re an anchorman. How can you possibly cover illegal immigration fairly when you’re an activist, when you’re a proponent of allowing them amnesty. How can you cover the story? You should excuse yourself from it … or become a guy like me, a commentator!” O’Reilly said.

O’Reilly jumped all over Ramos’ claim that he was just a reporter.

“You’re not! You’re an activist!” he shouted.

Ramos rarely leaves his massive Miami complex, and reportedly planned his “ambush” of Donald Trumpin Iowa last week — which backfired when Trump had a combative Ramos thrown out of his press conference when he interrupted other reporters by shouting questions.

Most media outlets praised Trump’s “restraint” for allowing Ramos back in later, where he behaved. Ramos had intended to embarrass Trump, it apparently had the opposite effect, showing Trump’s resolve and toughness against the unpopular media.

Ramos is not a journalist; he’s an activist. That’s fine; he can be an activist. However, the fact that he continues to pretend that he is simply reporting the news instead of advocating for policies that hurt Americans has thrusted him into the crosshairs of conservative pundits.

Bill Maher is not a “journalist” and neither is Ramos. They are outspoken commentators that should never be included in a legitimate press pool.
