BREAKING: Energy Dept. DEFYING Trump – They Will NOT Comply

Apparently, not everyone is excited about Trump’s Presidency and/or his decision to pick former Gov. Rick Perry to head the Department of Energy.

Employees at the DOE have blatantly refused to comply with some parts of a questionnaire handed out by the Trump Transition Team.

Is this even allowed? I was under the assumption that employees had to comply with the demands of their superiors.

Energy Department spokesman Eben Burnhan-Snyder claims that some of the employees were “unsettled” by the questions they were asked to answer, including giving the names of those who were tasked with working on climate change programs.

One of the questions reads: “Can you provide a list of all Department of Energy employees or contractors who have attended Interagency Working Group on the Social Cost of Carbon meetings?”

Another one of the questions wanted to know more specifics: “Can you provide a list of when those meetings were and any materials distributed at those meetings, emails associated with those meetings, or materials created by Department employees or contractors in anticipation or as a result of those meetings.”

Employees feared that providing the information would result in a “purge” of sorts, where Trump would demand the resignations of all workers who believe in man-made climate change.

“We are going to respect the professional and scientific integrity and independence of our employees at our labs and across our department,” Burnham-Snyder said in the Tuesday statement, first reported by The Washington Post.

“We will be forthcoming with all publicly-available information with the transition team. We will not be providing any individual names to the transition team.”

Is it possible that Trump would just fire everyone and completely clean out the DOE if they refuse to give specific identities? I see that as being one of many ways he could punish the agency for not complying with his requests.

Whatever is going to happen, it’s a safe bet to assume Trump will come out on top.
