Ex-Muslim Woman Slams Federal Govt For Trying To Limit Free Speech About Islam

Just as a number of House Democrats have began pushing for an anti-free speech resolution that would essentially ban any free speech about Muslims and Islam, this ex-Muslim woman is taking a huge issue with it.

What the resolution would do is ban any form of “violence, bigotry, and hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in the United States.” In other words, kiss your free speech goodbye!

Here’s what an ex-Muslim thinks:

One of the things I want to remind these [representatives] people? I am a citizen. I am not your subject. You did not give me my voice and you cannot take it away. And if I want to say that Muhammad was pedophilic war-monger, and anyone who views him as a idol is an enemy of the United States and an enemy of humanity? I can do that. There’s not a darn thing you can do about it.

This is a mark. This is a stage in American history that shows our elected representatives have the audacity to think they can take away our rights.

We have a constitutional responsibility to keep our government in check. The point is not whether or not a bill is going to pass, it’s that they had the audacity to try to pass it.

This is a downward spiral, we have to do something about it. We are quickly going downhill.

Americans, we have turned into whiny, self-absorbant people who are quick to know their rights, but slack when it comes to their duties and responsibilities.

What the Democrats are trying to do is make sure that there is no dissent when it comes to the objectionable religion that is the Islamic faith.

They would rather we all not be allowed to speak about Islam, unless we’re praising it for its ‘peacefulness.’
