Guns N’ Roses Frontman Axl Rose Had This to Say About Donald Trump

Why is it that washed up celebrities always want to go after the President to make themselves seem more important? we saw this with Eminem, Rosie O’Donnell, and now Axl Rose, the frontman for 80’s metal band Guns N’ Roses. Don’t get me wrong, they had some amazing songs back in their day and I still listen to them when I’m in the mood. (I was born in the 90s, but boy was the 80s a good time for music.)

That being said, Axl Rose is apparently jumping on the “Diss Trump” bandwagon and is going to ride it until the wheels fall off.

Rose made some disparaging remarks about the President this month, after Press Secretary Sarah Sanders spoke about the questionable content in the book “Fire And Fury” released by Michael Wolff.

“Its disgraceful and laughable,” she said. “If he was unfit, he probably wouldn’t be sitting there, wouldn’t have defeated the most qualified group of candidates the Republican Party has ever seen.”

That’s when Rose took to his Twitter account, used infrequently and mostly for tour updates, and blasted Sanders and the Trump administration with what looked like regurgitated Democrat talking points.

“Along with several other condescending adjectives the current WH has no room to call virtually anyone disgraceful,” he admonished.

“The WH is the current US gold standard of what can be considered disgraceful,” read a second tweet.

While he doesn’t often use his Twitter, and even less so for politics, he had previously made a comment about Mike Pence walking out of a Colts game after some of the players protested the national anthem.

“Thanks WH 4 the $200k Colts game PR stunt,” he said sarcastically.

Is it just me or are these celebrities trying too hard to fit in with the other elites who are bashing the President? I’m all for some good old-fashioned criticism, but this goes beyond that. Rose appears to have been taken in by the anti-Trump rhetoric. This shouldn’t be a surprise, considering that it seems everyone in a similar position to his has taken on a similar tone. However, it’s probably not good for his dwindling fan-base. I can’t imagine someone whose fans are no longer dedicated to their music and message being so willing to alienate those who are left. Perhaps this is all part of a big, fancy comeback and he’s trying to get into the news?

Touche, Axl. Touche.
