Indiana residents say "thank you" to local police officers

Kim Achors handed out 200 “Cops Lives Matter” bracelets around central Indiana. Greg Barnes Jr. of Muncie is now famous for posing with a state trooper after getting pulled over for speeding. He said it’s important to show mutual respect as human beings.

“Thank you again for providing a safe and happy place where I can live,” Carmel Police Lt. Joe Bickel read from a letter sent by an eighth grader.

The letter was one of many sent by Carmel students showing support to police officers.

“I would like to acknowledge the risks you take each and every day,” another letter read.
