JUST IN: Democrats Make DARING Impeachment Move – Give Trump 2 Choices

Usually these kinds of stories are about Democrats belly-aching and complaining that they didn’t win the election.

This story is different and I whole-heartedly support it. I have no doubt Republicans would do the same thing if a Democrat were about to step into the Oval Office without squaring away their business interests.

US Senator Elizabeth Warren, Democrat of Massachussetts, attends a US Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, February 24, 2015. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen testified Tuesday that the US labor market still showed cyclical weakness and inflation continued to fall, making any interest rate hike unlikely before June. In testimony in Congress, Yellen also said that frailties in China and Europe continued to pose a risk for the US economy, supporting the need for keeping the extraordinarily loose monetary policy currently in place. But she said that generally the US economy continued to grow fast enough to bring down unemployment, and the Fed expected that inflation would return back to normal over the medium term. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, supported by Sens. Ben Cardin, D-MD.; Chris Coons, D-DE.; Dick Durbin, D-IL.; and Jeff Merkley, D-OR, are seeking a bill that would force President-elect Donald Trump, future FLOTUS Melania Trump, their youngest son Barron, Vice President-elect Mike Pence and his wife Karen Pence to put their assets into a blind trust. This would prevent any conflict of interest while Trump and Pence serve in the White House.

It would also prevent any political appointee from having any interaction with businesses controlled by the Trump family.

If they refuse to comply, it would mean impeachment, though Trump says he plans to announce on Thursday how he will be dealing with this particular issue.

Everyone should absolutely support this and encourage Donald Trump to make clear that his Presidency is about America, not about expanding his business. I would expect Republicans to have done the same thing to Hillary Clinton had she been elected.

We need to set a precedent of not allowing Republicans and conservatives to get away with things that we would fault Democrats and liberals for.
