Just When You Thought They Couldn’t Get Any Crazier At The HuffPo

Lefties are always trying to claim that conservatives are violent, radical, and dangerous based on things like non-existent people supposedly shouting “kill him” at a McCain rally.

Meanwhile, one of the bloggers over at the Huffington Post[1] just killed her roommate by stabbing her to death 222 times with a screw driver[2],

Carol Anne Burger killed her former lover by stabbing her 222 times with a Phillips-head screwdriver and then took pains to hide her crime, police said Wednesday.

Jessica Kalish, who shared a house with Burger despite breaking up with her more than a year ago, was found last Thursday stuffed in the backseat of her gun-metal BMW sedan, abandoned behind a medical office at 2300 S. Congress Avenue. Her blood was splashed around the rear end and undercarriage of the car, as if her killer had tried to load her into the trunk. The driver-side window was shattered.

…Burger, a 57-year-old writer, did yoga, had a fondness for Shark Week on the Discovery Channel and preferred to watch musicals in theaters with Dolby Sound. She recently stopped drinking coffee. She thought Jackson Browne’s For a Dancer was good to listen to when you were sad, and she refused to take anti-depressants despite her relationship problems with Kalish.

Their situation really was a bad one, friends said, but for financial reasons Burger and Kalish had continued to share the house they’d bought together in 2000.

Burger, who on Oct. 7 was tapped to cover the election for the Web site, The Huffington Post, still sometimes felt sad and isolated. Kalish, whom Burger had married in Massachusetts in 2005, had met another woman.

…As investigators studied the case, several telltale signs, including the ferocity and personal nature of the attack, pointed to Burger, they said.

But before they could question her, Burger walked out into her back yard, pressed a gun up under her chin and pulled the trigger, police said. Detectives found her body there last Thursday but couldn’t locate a suicide note.

Now, if I were a lefty, I would go back through Burger’s writing looking for some article that showed her condemning violence, so that I could then claim that she was a hypocrite for murdering her roommate. After all, as all lefties errantly know, being a hypocrite is actually worse than doing something horrible.

Also, intriguingly the only thing I can find at the Huffington Post about one of their writers murdering someone is a tribute piece from the 25th[3] that was obviously written before they knew she went psycho squared on her roommate. So, no explanation, no “Burger was a complex person” piece from Arianna, no tribute to victim.

Isn’t that odd? I mean, if Melissa[4] stabbed somebody to death with a screwdriver or more likely in her case, beat someone to death with a shovel, I can assure you that I would be doing a long post about how I also suspected that she would murder a long string of hobos one day — or more likely, I’d do the standard serial killer response story, “She was a nice lady, quiet, kept to herself, and didn’t ever cause any problems.” Whatever the case may be, I would definitely be writing about it.

PS: If you do write for RWN and plan to murder someone, it would be nice if you quit first to spare me the embarrassment of having to refer to you as a shifty eyed loner.

PS #2: Definitely file Carol Anne Burger’s name away for future use. Eventually, some blogger on the Right will do something incredibly stupid or criminal and the Left will immediately declare that person is representative of all conservative bloggers. That’s when you bust out Carol Anne Burger’s name.

PS #3: I’m sorry that the police didn’t capture Carol Anne Burger before she killed herself. Jessica Kalish’s friends and family deserved to see Burger on trial for her crime.

PS #4: Do you think that there will be any “Karl Rove” did this conspiracy theory type stuff from the Left or will they just try to ignore it as much as possible?
