MLOA: Cantor Skipped Obama Teleprompter Event, Saw Brit Brit
Anyone who has had a liberal/progressive/surrender monkey tell them on-line or in person that we need to leave the petty issues behind and stop distracting from the issues that Americans care about, raise your hands. Ye olde Memeorandum features silly stories from Wonkette and The HuffPoabout Eric Cantor. Wonkette headline: Exclusive: Cantor, ‘Democrats’ Attend Britney Spears Concert During Obama Presser.
After attending the NRCC dinner, Eric, like President Obama has been known to do, enjoyed a night at the Verizon center. It was a bipartisan night, as Eric was joined by Senator Landrieu and other Democrats.
Of course, there is a wee bit of a problem with what Wonkette is pushing (via Sister Toldjah)
Update – 12:31 AM: The WaPo’s “Sleuth” blog reportsthat Cantor was at the GOP’s annual fundraiser Tuesday night (I assume the same one Jindal spoke at) and left the fundraiser for the concert at around 9, which was an hour after Obama’s presser had started. After the speech Obama made, the Q&A part lasted “just under an hour” according Ben Pershing, who liveblogged it all. I think that puts things wrapping up around 9:15 or 9:20. Which would mean that if Cantor wanted to watch the presser, he could have watched the bulk of it before he left at 9.
So, there you have. He could have watched President Neophyte spe….zzzzzzzzzz. Oh, sorry, the speech and answers Secretary Teleprompter gave was rather boring, even thinking back to watching some highlights and reading the transcript (which is something Democrats gave no one the time to do with the $787 billion Generational Theft Act.)
Landrieu’s office is denying she was there, and, of course, the Usual Suspects believe her unconditional. She probably threatened to punch them?
ST ends up with: Suffice it to say that it doesn’t really matter what the GOP does, some people on the left will always figure out a way to manufacture “outrage” against them.
They should be outraged by Sec Of State Clinton blaming America (mostly) for the violence in Mexico
“Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade. Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the death of police officers, soldiers and civilians,” Clinton told reporters during her flight to Mexico City.
Remind me, which Party pitches hissy fits over attempts to lock down the border? Which one tends to back legalizing drugs? Which one tends to back criminals over police, soldiers, and civilians? Which one pushes an “if it feels good, do it” lifestyle? But, which Party will believe that Hillary is completely correct in Blaming America First?
