Obama can’t kill the radio star (but he’s gonna try)
“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done…” declares Teleprompter Jesus.
Depends on what your definition of “things” is…
The $400-Million Man’s day is made. You just know he and Snerdly are working on new merch with that slogan.
His callers will now say, “Dittos, Rush! I was just listening to you while I worked on this car/changed a diaper/ran my small business…”
As long as he maintains the Rush mystique and doesn’t start showing up on Hannity once a week, Limbaugh’s ratings are now bound to soar even higher.
It’s the story of the right wing blogosphere this morning — here’s Pamela Geller’s take:
President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion Bushterrorist stimulus package.
Of course, Obama doesn’t want anyone to listen to Rush Limbaugh — that’s why he’s gonna bring back the Fairness Doctrine (which will now be called “localism”).
Sh*t? Meet fan. And I mean “fan” literally — American conservatives love their families, their guns, their Armed Forces… and their talk radio.
From their cold dead ears, Obama. Just try it.
