Only 47% Of Democrats Are ‘Extremely Proud’ To Be American This 4th Of July

Democrats just are not feeling patriotic this 4th of July season.

With the outrage from Democrats and the Left over the Confederate Flag, Dukes of Hazzard and Founding Father monuments like the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, it is not hard to believe that less than half of Democrats are not proud to be Americans.

As Independence Day approaches, most in the U.S. say they are proud to be an American, including a slight majority, 54%, who are “extremely proud.” The percentage saying they are “extremely proud” is slightly lower than in recent years and down from peaks at and around 70% between 2002 and 2004, after 9/11.

American pride also varied widely by age. Majorities of adults 30 years of age or older said they were extremely proud to be Americans, but only 43 percent of those between the ages of 18 and 29 said the same.

On a positive note, at least Democrats are not longer trying to perpetuate a lie that they believe in American exceptionalism when all of their actions and policy stances say otherwise.

Now if only the mainstream press would poll Democratic politicians anonymously, we could really get a grip on how those in power at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) feel about America.

Chances are, they’re not too happy to be American either. I mean, does Debbie Wasserman Schultz look happy to you?
