Just a few hours after Democratic Rep. Al Green formally brought up an impeachment announcement condemning Donald Trump on the House floor, even more politicians are joining the call to action. And it’s not just Democrats.
Even now, Republicans are starting to talking about the possibility of impeaching Trump over the bogus reports that Trump removed James Comey as FBI Director in a direct move to interrupt his investigation of the former national security adviser Michael Flynn. The memo has not yet been shown in public or to Congress, and there is no other evidence that the memo condemning Trump for making such a politically-motivated firing even exists, but it’s still causing a ruckus amidst the people who wake up every morning thinking that Donald Trump’s America is just a bad nightmare.
The main Republican in question is Michigan Rep. Justin Amash, who recently appeared on CNN to spread misinformation.

As reported in The Hill:
In an interview late Tuesday night with CNN’s Don Lemon, Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.) compared Trump allegedly pressuring Comey to drop the Flynn investigation to the obstruction of justice cases that led to impeachment proceedings for former presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton.
“Obstruction of justice in the case of Nixon, in the case of Clinton in the late 90s, has been considered an impeachable offense,” Curbelo said.
Curbelo called for Comey to testify before Congress to provide a full explanation of his conversations with Trump.
“It may be something very serious, it may be nothing,” Curbelo said.
Neither of the Republicans brought up impeachment on their own, but both acknowledged it was now a possibility depending on further developments.
Shameful. The GOP has been accused since July 2015 of being dismissive and outright hostile to Trump and now that there’s a GOP President in the White House who does not meet their standards, they’re more than willing to go right along with the Democrats who want him to be punished for doing nothing wrong.
