Shocking Footage Shows Man Assaulting And Dragging Police Officer Before Being Shot [VIDEO]

A woman in Broward County called the police to her apartment. Although we don’t know why, at this point, we do know the outcome. A man in the apartment attacked the police officer who knocked on the door, and eventually was shot dead in an effort to stop his attack on the police officer.

The officer knocked on the apartment door and when it was opened he verified with a woman who was there, that she had called the police. She confirmed this fact. But Pedro Pierre, for some unknown reason began to chase the police officer outside, eventually catching him and holding him by the leg as he kicked him and beat him. By this time the backup that had been called for by the police officer arrived. The dead man was asked numerous times by both officers to stop beating the policeman but he ignored the orders and continued his attack. At that point the second officer shot the man twice and killed him.

Part of the initial conversation between the police officer and the assailant went like this. The deputy says, ‘Don’t point at me, man. Step back. ‘Step back for who?’ says Pierre. ‘Step back,’ says the officer. Pierre then responds: ‘for who? For you?’

At that point, the deputy then can be heard asking someone off camera, ‘what’s his problem?’ And then the cop runs out with Pierre following. Pierre attacks the police officer who then tried to use his taser on Pierre, but could not stop his attack.

Then he told Pierre to ‘back down’ and ‘stand down,’ but the video shows him repeatedly striking the officer and kicking, while the officer uses a baton to defend himself.

‘Settle down! Tell me what is wrong!’ the deputy repeats several times. Then another deputy arrived to offer his assistance, and told Pierre to ‘get your hands up,’ and ‘get down.’

He didn’t. And he was shot. Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel released the footage to stop the rumor mills and those who might use the shooting to wrongfully accuse his officers. Israel added, “Unarmed assailants take guns away from police officers and there are many police officers in the United States of America who tragically have died at the hands of their own weapons.” And this, he asserted, is why fatal force was necessary.

The family claims the father of five was a “good man” and didn’t deserve it. They claimed he had a stroke and wasn’t himself. But whatever the case, Pedro Pierre made some very bad choices. He attacked an officer of the law and ignored repeated warnings to stop and stand down. So he was shot and killed. It’s pretty simple, obey the police and live. Disobey and attack them, and die. It’s sad that this 42 year old man is dead but actions have consequences. See graphic video below.
