Snapchat Allegedly Shows Malia Obama Playing Beer Pong at Brown University

After landing an enviable internship on the set of Lena Dunham’s Girls earlier this year, Malia Obama is keeping busy by touring potential colleges while allegedly partaking in one of college’s most sacred rituals most inescapable cliches: beer pong. Malia was apparently spotted at a Brown University party, with many tweeting that Secret Service agents were simply waiting outside.

Children of elected officials should be left alone no matter how much you dislike their parents, period. End of sentence. However, I do think this is a good teachable moment about social media.  The photo was from Snapchat, which the kids are using thinking that the photos disappear right away…and the photos they send aren’t always as innocent as a the daughter of a politician being at a party. There is not such thing as “disposable” or “temporary” on the Internet.
