Study: Most employers don’t think stress is a valid reason to be off work [2]

A survey by AXA PPP showed that two-thirds of employers don’t see stress, anxiety or depression as serious enough for workers to take the day off.

And only 17 per cent of employees think mental illness is a legitimate excuse for a sick day, according to another study by Benenden.

Only 39% would be honest if they were calling out sick for “mental health reasons.” Do you think stress is a valid reason to miss work?
