VIDEO: A Woman Who Was Robbed and Raped In the Early Morning Still Had the Presence of Mind to Set a Fatal Trap

Guns save lives. Though we often hear of the supposed danger of an armed society, one clever woman is likely very thankful that her neighbor was armed. According to a report from Rare:

ZPolice

A 37-year-old woman from Gadsden, Alabama was asleep when three males, one armed for certain, kicked down her front door and attempted to rob her home at 3 a.m. Monday.

One of the males, a 17-year-old teen, raped the woman as his accomplices took what they wanted from the house. The teen held his gun to her head. After this, the armed rapist demanded that she hand over money, AL.com reported.

The woman had the presence of mind, even after all of this, to lure her attacker into what she hoped would be an effective trap. She told him that she kept all of her cash at her neighbor’s house and that’s where they headed.

When they arrived at that residence, the woman yelled for her neighbor’s help. The 59-year-old man called the cops and took out his gun. The armed rapist fired warning shots into the air, but the neighbor took him out with one shot to the chest.

He died at the scene after running away a short distance.

The woman was treated for her injuries at a hospital. The man who saved her was questioned by the authorities and released. The whereabouts of the other two robbers are not immediately clear.

This woman is alive because she thought cleverly and because her neighbor was one of millions of Americans who owned a firearm and was prepared to use it in the defense of innocent life.

There are two lessons here: brains can often beat brawn and a firearm in the hands of a good guy can save a life.
