VIDEO Of A Blind Vet Who Sees for the First Time in 20 Years Will Bring You To Tears

Do you remember ‘Geordi La Forge’, the blind character from Star Trek Next Generation who could see with a really cool looking visor despite complete blindness? While a device like that once seemed really far into the future, this video shows a blind Vet putting on some high tech glasses that allow him to see his family and friends… you really have to see this to believe it! (Have tissue on hand)

Mark Cornell blind vet

U.S. Air Force veteran Mark Cornell has been legally blind for two decades, but thanks to some high-tech glasses, he is able to see again.

A touching video captures Cornell’s tearful reaction when he first tries on a pair of eSight glasses – which use a camera and advanced computing to create real-time video that can be enhanced and magnified for people suffering from vision impairment.

“It’s just an amazing piece of equipment that allows me to be able to do this and to be able to look at my wife and say, ‘Wow, you look the same now as when I first met you,'” Cornell said.

“This could help tens of thousands of people, if not hundreds of thousands, both veterans and their civilian counterparts,” the 18-year Air Force veteran said. “Maybe not perfect 20/20, but crying out loud, just to be able to go to a store and read a label.”

I could barely hold myself together when this tough Veteran broke down and got emotional after seeing his wife for the first time in decades. [WATCH]
