VIDEO: Pregnant dog is rescued two days after Russian workers repairing pavement built OVER her

[1]This is a heartwarming story about a trapped pregnant dog, which even the local housing association would not save, so some locals took it upon themselves to save the poor thing. Some Russian workmen paved over a hole where the dog had crawled, unaware it was in there. Two days later, people nearby heard the dog barking.[2]

The Daily Mail reports,

Residents living in a house close to the site of the by then covered hole were able to track the sound and discovered it was coming from beneath the concrete steps leading up to their front door.

The householders quickly contacted the local housing association who were reportedly unwilling to do anything to help the stricken animal.

Rather than giving up, the locals set about rescuing the dog themselves, still completely unaware that she was heavily pregnant.

The news comes after it was revealed that a faithful Red Setter named Tillie dutifully stood guard for a week when her Basset Hound friend Phoebe became trapped in a ravine.

The dogs, went missing September 8 and as days went by without a trace, their Washington State owners feared the worst. But thanks to Tillie’s frequent trips to a nearby road, she managed to alert a passer-by and led her to the spot where Phoebe was trapped.
