Entitled Liberal Student Wouldn’t Stand for the Pledge of Allegiance – So Teacher Did THIS

Our nation has some serious problems. There are many, many things that need to be remedied. However, it is still the greatest nation on Earth and we must respect not only our flag, but those who fought and died to defend it and the principles it represents. When one girl refused to stand for Old Glory, the teacher took action.

When Fatima Smart, 14, refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance during class at Monadnock Regional Middle School in Swanzey, New Hampshire, she claims her teacher bullied her after it was done.

Smart’s teacher allegedly told her to leave since she wasn’t willing to stand. Was the teacher wrong to do that?

Smart continued to be defiant and was subsequently kicked out of class. She later was lectured in front of all the other kids.

“She kind of used me as an example in front of the class to say that, ‘You have to stand for the flag salute, or you can be like Fatima and wait outside,’” Smart said.

Smart explained she doesn’t stand for political reasons. “I don’t like our government at all,” she said. “I think they are making bad decisions, and I didn’t stand. I don’t like pretending to believe in something I don’t believe in to please others… They have their rights, and I have mine.”

It’s been month’s since Smart complained about her teacher, and her parents are still waiting for an apology. In New Hampshire, it’s voluntary for students to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance.

“They intimidated and humiliated our daughter, and it’s become a public spectacle because of their lack of humility to extend an apology,” complained her stepfather, Steve Boscarino.

Smart’s mother, Kerry Boscarino believes the teacher singled out Smart personally for the attack.

“[The teacher] said that she was the daughter of a military man and found it offensive because of that. But I really don’t think that my daughter sitting for the pledge is an attack on the military in any way, shape, or form,” she said.

The Superintendent Keith Pfeifer says the family is wrong about this incident.

Now, if only this teacher could instruct our president in the ways of loving America…
