When They Find Out Infants Are Trapped in a Raging Fire, Two Little Boys Show What They’re Made Of

When two kids saw a house on fire, they did what few adults would have the courage to do: they ran into a burning building to save children from the inferno.

Two Florida boys are being hailed as heroes after taking action when they saw flames roaring from a nearby mobile home.

Ten-year-old Isiah Francis and 11-year-old Jeremiah Grimes were playing outside in their Oakland neighborhood when they smelled – then saw – smoke billowing out of a neighbor’s home. After realizing the mobile home housed small children, they called 911 before running inside to help:

In an interview with Click Orlando, Francis described the heroic endeavor:

“I was really scared because I thought I was going to get burned.”

When inside, the boys were able to locate a 1-year-old and an 8-month-old and quickly moved them outside the home which had become engulfed in flames.

Francis’ wish was always to become a firefighter, and this harrowing incident hasn’t deterred his dreams.

“Even though I have to go through all this hard work, I still want to be one.”

The older children also trapped inside the fire were airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital. Officials have reported that they are in critical but stable condition.

This is a truly remarkable story. These boys are heroes and they are a credit to their families and to their community.
