A Black Conservative Voice on Reid *BAM*
Written By : Kathleen McKinley

The following letter is from Lt. Col. Allen West, a Black conservative candidate for the House in Florida’s Congressional District 22, and is a must read. As you can see in the picture above though, Majority Leader Harry Reid would probably consider him too “dark skinned” to be electable. But I’m thinking he will win easily.

Enjoy.

The revelation of Senator Harry Reid’s comments referencing “negro talk” is just indicative of the true sentiment elitist liberals, and indeed the Democratic party, have toward black Americans. The history of the Democrat party is one of slavery, secession, segregation, and now socialism. It is this new aged socialism born from the Johnson Great Society programs that have castigated blacks as victims needing government dependency. One need only to look upon the city of Detroit to ascertain what liberal social welfare policies have produced for the inner city… the new plantation for black Americans.

The Ku Klux Klan was birthed by the Democrats as a terrorist wing to intimidate blacks, and whites, who sought to promote economic and education independence and social justice for blacks. What was once overt has just morphed and become covert, yet still exists.

One can only imagine the insanity and media outrage if Reid’s quote had come from a member of the Republican party. I look forward to hearing from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on Reid’s comments… or has liberal hush money paid for the silence of these proprietors of poverty and victimization theory. Actually, if President Obama had any courage he would demand Reid step down as Senate Majority Leader, and discontinue any support for his Senate reelection… notice I said “if”. I am quite sure the Soros money which elevated Obama to the position of President has bought his servitude.

Why am I running for US Congress as a Republican? Simple. I would rather stand proudly and be called “an Uncle Tom and a sellout” than lose my self-esteem and be considered an inferior by liberals. I understand the legacy of the GOP and the black community… not the revisionist history espoused by liberal educators. I am not, shall never be, and will not raise my daughters to be a part of the liberal 21st century plantation. I am not just some articulate, clean, well spoken negro. I am an American warrior, Congressional candidate, and shall never submit to the collective progressive ideal of inferiority.

Senator Harry Reid’s comments are disgusting, despicable, and unacceptable. They are representative of how intellectual elite liberals do indeed speak of black Americans in their closed private spaces. Next week I have been invited to NYC to address the Hudson Institute, a conservative organization, conference on “Reclaiming American Liberty”. That invite came to me because I took advantage of the opportunities this great Republic offered. I followed the guidance of my parents and set my standards above all others around me. I speak well and have impeccable communicative skills because my Father and Mother prioritized that quality.

I shiver to think what my future could have been if I listened to the insidious rhetoric of charlatans such as Harry Reid, and the ambassadors of affirmative action who reside in the Congressional Black Caucus.

Sure, the “stuck on stupid” blacks are going to address me in derogatory names, but I possess something which they lack; Honor, Integrity, and Character. To them I say, continue to be slaves to the liberals for your vote… and in a year you will be calling me Congressman West.

Steadfast and Loyal,
LTC(R) Allen B West

We need more people in office like LTC (soon Congressman) West.

Yes you do. There are many conservative black people in the US.
The question I have for conservatives is why aren’t more of those people voting conservative?

There are plenty of conservative black people in the US. The question is why are they voting liberal?

“I understand the legacy of the GOP and the black community… not the revisionist history espoused by liberal educators.”

    What legacy would that be?
    Lincoln freeing the slaves, perhaps?
I could count the number of times Lincoln is mentioned on this site with one hand, with two fingers and a thumb amputated no less.
    I wonder why that is?

I hope he isn’t naive in thinking it is just liberal, uber rich and powerful white dems that hold these views.
I’m sure my pefect right wing friends here will agree that there is plenty of these racist undercurrents brewing in just about everybody!

Kathleen, kudos on the Rush read on today’s show. I heard it on the radio and had to stop the car and listen carefully.

    “What legacy would that be?”

The legacy of the Republican Party opposing Jim Crow, supporting the Civil Rights Act., and working for a truly equal nation where a man keeps what he earns.

    “Lincoln freeing the slaves, perhaps?”

Yes, the Republican Lincoln freed the slaves and held the Union together. Most of us, even from the South, are quite proud of that fact. Most Conservatives who dislike Lincoln do so based on 10th Amendment grounds, not racial ones.

“I could count the number of times Lincoln is mentioned on this site with one hand, with two fingers and a thumb amputated no less. I wonder why that is?”

He is mentioned regularly when it is relevant. We aren’t going to throw “Lincoln freed the slaves” into a discussion over socialized medicine. That is something a Liberal would do. We are better than that.

No, only guilt ridden Liberals see the race-card in every situation. I for one am sick and tired of it being played every time somebody on the left doesn’t get their way. It’s like an entire political philosophy is built on a 3 year old’s temper tantrum. If you truly want to get past race then stop throwing it in our collective face in every conversation. When you constantly play the race card, and you do, then don’t expect us to keep quiet when Harry Reid or Bill Clinton pass their true feelings over an open mike.

Ummm, I don’t know what you’re talking about?
    Reread the post!

Just for the record I agree with Cavalier X on the other thread.
Reid is a dunce who should have known better but is it bad enough to step down over?
    I don’t think so.

For the exact same reason we don’t start every post with “Well, I’m a Conservative, and I think…” We know who we are. We know our ideologial roots. We don’t play the “more Conservative than thou” game the way Liberals keep striving to out-Liberal each other.

Lincoln wanted to preserve the union essentially by taking away future states’ rights to hold on to their slaves. The South cried foul and all hell broke loose. You’re ideological roots are not based on Lincoln;s GOP in fact it is just the opposite.
The modern equivalent would probably be abortion. You don’t want the feds to have that power over the states on that matter. That is why you don’t talk about Lincoln. He represents the modern GOP as much as a dixiecrat represents a modern democrat.

So you are saying that there was a right to own slaves? Yep, you are a liberal.

Lincoln figured slavery would die out in those states that had slaves. He simply didn’t want to expand slavery into territories that eventually would be carved up into states.
I could be wrong in this but I’m pretty sure Lincoln would not have gone to war if the South would agree, to limit the slaves to ONLY those states that already had them, however the South could not abide by this and therefore the CW became a
    fait accompli.

Libliever doesn’t believe in slavery of anykind.

Yet you and your kind have kept people in economic chains with the so called War on Poverty and Great Society.

Face it bub, you and yours are racists to the core. Just like Harry Reid.

You think it started with Lincoln? I think you need to study the events leading up to the Civil War in more detail. You can start with the Northwest Ordinance of 1787.

    “Hmm…stop throwing race…hmmm…”

Racism is going to be thrown in your faces whenever a Liberal makes an offensive or racist comment because your party overplays its hand so often. This is the same Harry Reid that claimed that being opposed to his healthcare plan was the same as supporting slavery. When you throw the race card that far, expect it to hit you in the face like a boomerang. It’s called politics.

On the other hand, morality is thrown in our faces every time a Conservative is caught sleeping with an intern or in a toilet with a wide stance. You know we care about issues of morality and family, and it makes easy political fodder when one of our own plays like Tiger Woods.

The difference is that we force our own to resign when they’ve gone too far. Democrats never stopped supporting Robert Byrd, William “freezer cash” Jefferson, or Bill Clinton, regardless of their crimes or their offensive statements.

I live in Virginia; I wish I lived in Florida (not because its cold in Virginia–I here its just as cold in Florida) so I could vote for this great American (Allen B. West).

I am so fed up with the seemingly endless Democrats and RINOs that Virginia sends to Washington.

I am really into that “Hope and Change” thing; I hope we change all of Virginia’s politicians out for real Americans like Mr. West, if we can find any in Virginia.
