It would be hard to imagine a more pernicious and distasteful operation than ACORN, a literally criminal enterprise that engages in massive voter fraud on a nationwide basis, and helped cause the financial crisis by using thug tactics to force banks to make loans based on race. Their repugnant national spokesman Scott Levenson offers a taste of this Marxist cult’s flavor. Bad as it is that this outfit doesn’t have to pay taxes, there’s far worse — it is financed lavishly with yours as a reward for helping elect Democrats by illicit means.

At least $53 million in federal funds have gone to ACORN activists since 1994, and the controversial group could get up to $8.5 billion more tax dollars despite being under investigation for voter registration fraud in a dozen states.

The economic stimulus bill enacted in February contains $3 billion that the non-profit activist group known more formally as the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now could receive, and 2010 federal budget contains another $5.5 billion that could also find its way into the group’s coffers. …

At least one lawmaker, Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-MN, wants to stop the flow of tax dollars to ACORN, but House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-MA, stands in her way.

As you might recall, Bonnie Fwank also stood in the way of reforming Fannie and Freddie, just before the mess ACORN helped make hit the fan. Also deeply involved in creating the financial crisis was a community activist who personally trained ACORN thugs, shook down banks as an ACORN lawyer, and received generous payoffs from Fanny/Freddie after reaching the District of Criminals as “the Senator from ACORN.” He is now the President of the USA.

For awhile, the leftist Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, John Conyers (D-MI), pretended he would investigate some of ACORN’s more brazen crimes. Unsurprisingly, this charade has been dropped.

Our country is falling under the control of communist outlaws.
