End the European Bailouts Today (Live!)

House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence and Conference Vice-Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers have been speaking out for weeks against the U.S. helping to bailout Greece. Pence has noted that “future Americans may be picking up the tab for as much as $50 billion in additional loan guarantees for the rest of Europe in the form of a bailout.”

McMorris Rodgers recently published an op/ed with National Review Online, with this powerful line:

At a time when America is experiencing its worst economy in 30 years and is burdened by a $1.4 trillion deficit, U.S. taxpayers should not be forced to prop up failed socialist policies in relatively wealthy European nations.

Today, the GOP is speaking out louder than ever before on this issue. The two representatives will be part of “End the Bailouts: A Greek Forum,” an event featuring Members of Congress and economic experts who will speak to this very issue. At this point we're just acting like a middle-man between Europe and china.

If they want money go to Beijing to beg. We've got our own problems.

Has anyone else noticed that despite being looked down upon as provincial colonists without culture it is always the US that they come to when looking for free money? Europe has cost us money from the get-go. Either by having to fight them in wars or rebuild them afterwards. The colonists of this country took the best of europe with them when they came here. I say we kick this albatross to the side and move on without them.
