EU leader attacks Britain over

EU leader attacks Britain over links with United States: Romano Prodi, president of the European Commission, had this to say[1] about Britain..

“I wonder what makes this great nation so confident when dealing with a vastly more powerful nation over 3,000 miles away, but afraid to play a full part in shaping the future of the continent to which it belongs. …Deep down it is a matter of deciding where one’s future lies. It is a matter of political will and courage.”

Here’s the heart of the matter. In truth, the bureaucrats at the EU dream of uniting Europe so they’ll have the economic and military strength to challenge the US down the road. They believe they’re smarter than us, more moral than us, and better suited to handle any situation..if only they had the means. That’s where Britain comes into play. They’re arguably the #2 military power in the world of course they have a potent economy as well. Taking steps to bring Britain’s military under EU control is essential to having a conventional military that can compete with the United States a decade or two down the road. Furthermore, they need Britain to tow the line with the other nations in Europe if they’re going to present a united front against us.

So what this means is that EU elites have got to drive a wedge between the United States and Britain. Will they succeed? Only time will tell.
