Foreign Policy Magazine’s Top 20 Intellectuals

The snooty intellectual elite, as represented by Foreign Policy magazine and its readers, has selected the top 20 intellectuals[1] of our time. Here’s the top 10:

1. Fethullah Gülen
2. Muhammad Yunus
3. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi
4. Orhan Pamuk
5. Aitzaz Ahsan
6. Amr Khaled
7. Abdolkarim Soroush
8. Tariq Ramadan
9. Mahmood Mamdani
10. Shirin Ebadi

What a coincidence: all appear to be Muslims. If it had been Shintoists who flew planes into the World Trade Center 7 years ago, the top 10 names would have been Japanese.

From there, the list veers even farther into farce, with juvenile America-hater Noam Chomsky at #11 and demagogic snake oil salesman Al Gore at #12. Liberal comedian Stephen Colbert was the top write-in candidate.
