Hillary in a Bind: Pakistan Aiding Taliban
Written By : SusanAnne Hiller

Original post at 73wire.com

This is getting even more interesting.  Last week, I reported that Hillary promised more aid to Pakistan to the tune of $500 million, totaling about $1.5 billion of taxpayer money, and the next day she accused someone in the Pakistani government of knowing where Bin Ladin is.  Terrific, right.  Well, it gets better.

Now, the NYT (hat tip HotAir headlines) is reporting that Pakistan is helping the Taliban insurgency:

Americans fighting the war in Afghanistan have long harbored strong suspicions that Pakistan’s military spy service has guided the Afghan insurgency with a hidden hand, even as Pakistan receives more than $1 billion a year from Washington for its help combating the militants, according to a trove of secret military field reports made public Sunday.

The documents, made available by an organization called WikiLeaks, suggest that Pakistan, an ostensible ally of the United States, allows representatives of its spy service to meet directly with the Taliban in secret strategy sessions to organize networks of militant groups that fight against American soldiers in Afghanistan, and even hatch plots to assassinate Afghan leaders.

Now what, Hillary?

And just a word to the wise, if you are thinking about running for president, I would refrain from using your experience as secretary of state during the campaign.

Coupled with the revelation that the Administration knew all about the Lockerbie bombing terrorist being sent home, it should be popcorn city in DC this week.

Maybe it's time to hit the 'reset' button again? I mean what with the Norks acting up, the Iranians continuing to work on nukes, the Ruskies taking multiple steps back in the direction of Cold War relations, the Chinese gaining and ever-tightening grip on our economy and the Pakis double dealing behind our backs. Clearly, the strategy of engaging our enemies (and even some of our “friends”) in dialogue just isn't yielding the kind of results which they were promised to produce.

Only this time, rather than to just “reset” the foreign policy of the US, maybe the voters need to “reset” the players who formulate said policy. The best and the brightest, my *ss.
