How much carbon did they release into the atmosphere with those torches?
Written By : TrogloPundit

Via Insty and Moe Lane, if the unions can carry torches and pitchforks, can Tea Partiers start heating up the tar?

Carrying pitchforks and torches a group of labor unions and health care groups marched down Church Street in Hartford Tuesday night to let the state’s largest business lobby know that they want health care reform.

Instapundit notes that the Left may want to think twice about setting this particular precedent. Moe notes that the “crowd” is a little sparse, at least by Tea Party standards. TrogloPundit, always more in tune with the really important questions, notes that the torches are spewing pollutants into the atmosphere, thereby contributing to the global warming that can be clearly seen in the snow falling during the protest.

I kid, because I care. Historical precedent: Hannukah candles are bad for the environment.

Moe’s got the video. I love how they dress one guy up in a top hat, to play the big corporate fat cat. If you look really close, you can see the straw sticking out of his sleeves and collar.

And one more thing: the other guy mentions this Center for American Progress report, which concludes that health care “reform” will create “up to” four million jobs in the U.S. by 2020 (right around the 1:25 mark).

I’m inclined to snark that, sure, they’ll need that many new government functionaries to oversee everything, but I won’t. Too easy.
