The latest on Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who was thrust into the spotlight after a liberal jihad was launched against her for politely taking the Christian stance on gay marriage, is that she apparently took some modeling pictures. You can see the one pic that was released,courtesy of The Dirty, on your left. Here’s their commentary,

TheDirty.com Exclusive: Self-proclaimed bible thumper Miss California, Carrie Prejean, should start pointing the finger at herself for her own indiscretions. TheDirty.com has received exclusive images of the homophobic debutante that would clearly strip her of her Miss California crown. So much for being a good role model for the state of California Carrie. Looks like your Dirty photo shoot makes you a sinner too. I decided.

Carrie Prejean’s response to this was,

Carrie Prejean says photos taken of her as a teenager released by TheDirty.com, were sold “surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith.”

In a statement, Prejean also says the attacks on her and others who “speak in defense of traditional marriage” are intolerant and offensive.

She claims the saucy pictures are just lingerie modeling shots and vows to continue her battle against same-sex marriage.

“I am a Christian, and I am a model,” Prejean said in a statement released to the media. “Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently, photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith. I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be.”

A photo of Prejean wearing only pink panties with her back turned to the camera first appeared on the gossip blog TheDirty.com. The pix have now swept the Web.

So, should Carrie Prejean be tossed under the bus for taking a lingerie modeling shot? Ehr no….what are you? Stupid or something?

She came into the public eye by being a contestant in a beauty pageant. She wore a bikini on national television and let’s be honest: the picture isn’t that all that racy compared to what you see on the covers of magazines at the local grocery store. There’s not a woman in America who makes her living as an actress or as a model, who’d turn down that shot — and moreover, Carrie Prejean is right — that website does mock her for her Christian faith.

What they’re hoping is that conservatives will do the same dumb thing we do over and over and over again: kick an extremely effective spokesman under the bus because some liberals twist themselves into pretzels to pretend to be offended by their actions.

The reason so many people on the Left hate her is not because she posed for a modeling shot; it’s because she’s a Christian, because she’s in favor of traditional marriage, and they hate her most of all for exposing them as the mean-spirited, virulently anti-Christian scumbags that they are.

PS: Yesterday, I did an interview with Maggie Gallagher from the National Organization For Marriage. It’s being transcribed at the moment, but I will tell you this much: if anybody thought this pic would make them run from Carrie Prejean, they got another think coming.
