Letting Members Of Al-Qaeda Go Free To Kill Again

The Left, being the Left, keeps pushing the completely ineffective law enforcement approach to the war on terrorism that utterly failed before 9/11. Typical liberals. It’s not about whether it works or not, it’s whether it makes them feel good about themselves. But, take a look at what the law enforcement approach to the war on terrorism is working out in Britain,

Radical cleric Abu Qatada, described as “Osama bin Laden’s right hand man in Europe,” is to be released in the next 24 hours.

Qatada, who is accused of giving advice and support to terrorists including the leader of the September 11 hijackers, has been described in official documents as a “truly dangerous individual” who was “heavily involved, indeed at the centre of terrorist activities associated with al-Qa’eda.”

He has been convicted twice in Jordan in his absence for conspiracy to carry out bomb attacks on two hotels in Amman in 1998, and providing finance and advice for a series of bomb attacks in Jordan planned to coincide with the Millennium.

…He is will be electronically tagged and put under a 22-hour curfew at his family home in Acton, West London.

He will not be allowed a mobile phone or access to the internet and the bail conditions include a long list of Islamic radicals with whom he is banned from communicating, including Osama bin Laden.

Oh wow, they’re not giving him a mobile phone or access to the net? Boy, they’re really being tough on the guy. Sheesh…you can laugh at how silly they are and personally, I think we should send a CIA assassination team over to Britain to wack Abu Qatada, but it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if this same sort of thing were to happen with Osama Bin Laden if Barack Obama becomes President. The McCain campaign has suggested as much and they’re absolutely right.
