Most Illegal Immigrants Smuggling Drugs, Says Gov. Jan Brewer
Written By : Donald Douglas

The Arizona Guardian reports that, “Brewer advisor says “missteps” were made on immigration claims

Still, anything Gov. Jan Brewer says will “ignite controversy.” As long as any official speaks bluntly and honestly about the crisis, media types will repudiate those remarks as extremist.

At NYT, “Arizona: Governor Ignites Controversy With Remarks on Drug Mules.” (Via Memeorandum.)

I think what she's trying to say is that illegal aliens are coming by way of smugglers that are directly tied to drug trafficking organizations. This is accurate. It is not accurate to imply they are actually smuggling drugs themselves, although some are as part of their “fee.” The smuggling organizations control areas which, in turn, control alien and drug smuggling. The violence south of the line is the battle for turf–where exactly smugglers can operate in sending their human and narcotics cargo northbound. It's all about money, period. And, here in the north, it's all about money and power for the corporatists and leftists.

  • Mr. EMT

Your paragraph summed up for you:
“The claim is true, but sorta not, but really is”

Clearing it up for you, yes most illegal aliens from Mexico are involved in drugs. And honestly it is a very small minority who are not involved in it.

  • gfchicago

Did you happen to notice that the Southern Governors have to drag Obama kicking and screaming to the table.

I guess it just goes to show you that Osbama doesn't give a damn about that part of the Nation, because they happen to be more conservative leaning..

  • Christopher_Taylor

Actually I wouldn't be surprised to find that this was true. Its difficult to test or verify but it is hardly difficult to imagine coyotes requiring their customers be mules as well as paying to get across the border.

  • UFKA_Smithwick

Couldn't say if most are. But it certainly seems like a large percentage are. Far more than we need.

Besides, if you're poor and willing to ignore one American law to make some money doesn't it follow that you would ignore other American laws to make some more money?

  • whats_up

Bullshit, you sir are an idiot and not well informed. Prove your statement sir.

  • Mahatma

In fact nearly half of immigrants here illegally came in to the country legally on work visas and have stayed after their visa expired.

  • gfchicago

And that makes it ok how? They are still here by definition here illegally. It doesn't make it right just because they have over stayed their visas.

  • Rose

They are nearly all “Muling”, knowingly, for their coyotes, in payment for services or to have the money for a start, or both. Along with a multitude of other illegal things, besides “breaking and entering”, and participating in the ravaging of the property of private CITIZENS on the border. You should see what they do to border residences these days, “in search of food”. It wouldn't take you many vies of those homes to realize now NAIVE you are being to the BENEFIT of STALINISTS who seek to destroy your homeland with trillions of mortal cuts – with your willing compliance.

Take a hard honest look. It is YOUR boundaries that are being moved INWARDS on you.

  • Rose

He gives a damn about that part of the nation. He plans deliberately to destroy EVERY SHRED of this nation, deliberately and on purpose.

This is NOT an ACCIDENTAL Communist!
OBAMA: Let me sort of describe my overall policy.
What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.
I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.
That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.
The only thing I’ve said with respect to coal, I haven’t been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can.
It’s just that it will bankrupt them.

HE WILL SEE TO IT! HE PLANS DESTRUCTION! AND HE SAYS SO!
He is on AUDIO in 2004 saying to trade border security for pressure to get SHAMNESTY through. We know SHAMNESTY is NOT beneficial for America. He is on AUDIO saying this.
NOBODY is going to MAKE him do something BENEFICIAL for this nation. THAT is NOT part of his AGENDA and won't fatten his pocketbook.
He needs VOTERS who are willing to vote at least 37 times apiece! Like Arizona ILLEGAL ALIENS have been caught by the law doing before, in exchange for multitudes of SS Checks apiece!

  • gfchicago

Excellent points Rose, I just never thought about it in that way. I guess in my own way, I'm trying as hard as I might to give this jackass the benefit of the doubt.

By the way how are you and yours getting along? Well I hope. My husband, two four legged hairy kids and myself are getting along ok.

  • Christopher_Taylor

I suspect that's probably accurate, but it doesn't address the statement by Governor Brewer.

  • Mr. EMT

Since you remembered your manners when speaking to your elders, and betters.
    I am the proof.
I have spent my life living on the Texas border.
I have worked with illegal aliens who worked for my family back over 20 years ago when it was safe then to help them out. My father used to hire them when they came through to help them out as they migrated from Mexico.
On the border, we no longer help them because it is too dangerous.
Instead we keep the phone number to border patrol handy, when we spot wetbacks we call the border patrol in to do their job.

Hell dumbass, talk to any rancher who lives in the country within an hour's drive of the border.
I don't need proof that the sky is blue.
And I damn sure dont have anything to prove to you.
You want to ignore these facts, do so at your peril, not mine.
But I bet you wont be spending much time around Laredo, Del Rio, or EL Paso anytime soon to see it first hand, or talk to the people that live in those areas and ask how comfortable they are going to shop in Mexico the way we used to even 5 years ago.

  • Mr. EMT

Good job pointing out a serious loophole in the system pretty much anyone can exploit.

  • regularguy

Rose, I make my opinion as someone who is far more involved with the topic at hand than I can discuss. It is simply inaccurate to say the vast majority of illegal aliens are transporting narcotics northbound. “Southbounders” are a term used for a reason. These are the mules who have no desire to migrate and are returning for their next load. Yes, some illegal aliens are returning to the line otherwise for humans and narcotics as part of reducing their smuggling fee. But the cities and towns are filled with illegal aliens otherwise who were simply smuggled across and made their way north to commit other crimes such as identity theft and illegally working here, or living beyond their visas. And I am exceeding well aware of the crimes they otherwise commit as traverse the border area. No one hates the leftists and corporatists who degrade our sovereignty and create these people into white slaves for their own power and money more than I do.

  • Mahatma

No problem. But don't miss the point: certainly “most” illegals are not smuggling drugs in to the country as asserted by Donald Douglass

  • Mahatma

Whoops but they aren't fact then are they? See my earlier post that nearly half are here illegally because they have stayed beyond their visas.

  • mightysamurai

The ones Gov. Brewer has to deal with certainly are. Which is what the Governor was addressing when she made that statement. Which you would know, if you were intellectually honest.

  • Olcay_tuncel85

yeh should mean a stop to them now http://www.kesfedin.com

  • TheDickNixon

Prove David Duke voted for Bush in 2004 as you stated three years ago.

  • TheDickNixon

    Thus making them criminals.

And yes, many of them are involved in the narcotics trade.

  • Mr. EMT

Oh, I did not miss the point. See below for my reply when some other libtard asked me for proof.

NOT NEARLY! You must live deep in the interior.

I live barely over an hour from the border. Haven't you been watching the news show you the virtual trainloads, just of those WALKING in? NON-STOP! If not, get another channel or go to you tube and look it up.

Some of you Liberals… Wish we could put some of these tons of them directly into YOUR house and see how wonderful you think it is to “help your neighbors” the SAME WAY you expect Border residents to do so YOU feel all warm and fuzzy.

I've seen too many of them buried for their hospitality to be impressed with YOUR warm and fuzzy feelings. It ain't fun to attend funerals of folks you've known all yer lives, their parents, kids and grandkids are the same age as your own family, went to school, intermarried into the families – you go and tell the kids how sorry you are their parents got all carved up – and don't forget the “or whatever” – sometimes that is a baby crawling in momma's blood on the floor a day or so before someone finds them – because of yet another whacko who came through the open borders who NEVER would have made it passed the DOORWAY.

You haven't tasted that. It shows.

Now, you shouldn't have to expect an adult to know what is going on when someone else jumps off a cliff at several hundred feed above the base of that cliff – but some of you lunatics are more than half boiled like good little frogs for supper, and I for one and so beyond tired of you for not thinking for two seconds before you decide what everyone ELSE can take that you are dishing.

  • Rose

Yeah, I'm not listing the other crimes either.
but sorry, We are in a sparse populated area in terms of what happens around here for a hundred miles, we know it – of it, anyway.

They may not have it anymore by the time thy get to you, but hey still do when they get here. And if they don't, they are still participating in a ramp-up of criminal activity that facilitates horrors you are not being accurate about.
And we aren't even talking about the ones who come here and work as hard as anything you ever saw, but go home every few month and take all their money with them after living with no living expenses off their bosses, and spend that money on acurenderos (sp) they pay to curse America for all they are worth, in ways beyond your wildest imaginations.

I am not saying there are no nice illegal aliens – I'm saying the open door policy ain't worth the few there are.

How many honest people come to your home with and in the company of a street gang?
If they were ok when they left home, they won't be by the time they arrive at their destination – if they get there at all.

  • Rose

We are doing ok – I'm working hard ona John Wayne album at photobucket and having fun with that.

Just getting older. The boys are doing pretty good. A great nephew graduated high school ad is talking about going into the service – at this time, that kinda scares me a little – hope we talk him into a couple years of at least Jr. College, first…

  • Rose

    That's ignorant of facts.

  • Rose

That just ain't true. Have to wonder why you keep saying that.

  • UFKA_Smithwick

I'm guessing most of the illegals in Arizona do not fit that description.
