Obama Hearts Occupy Wall Street, Michelle Hearts $3K Dress
President Obama is embarking on another embarrassing “bus tour of the heartland” wherein he will ride his gigantic, taxpayer-funded million dollar black bus when it’s convenient for press photographers, but board Air Force One and Marine One when it’s most convenient for him. Along the way, he’s promising to deliver folksy speeches to folksy people in folksy towns wearing blue shirts with the sleeves rolled up. He’s expected to vilify Republicans as being the errand boys of Wall Street bankers and express solidarity with the hippies making New York City public parks their home.
He is also expected to completely ignore irony. This is not a recent development, but lately he’s collected so much irony, he may as well be facial hair at an Avett Brothers concert. According to Sunlight Foundation documents provided this week to the Daily Caller, Obama has collected more Wall Street cash than any President in history including – and here is where you can hear Sunlight’s audible sigh – George W. Bush.
Despite his rhetorical attacks on Wall Street, a study by the Sunlight Foundation’s Influence Project shows that President Barack Obama has received more money from Wall Street than any other politician over the past 20 years, including former President George W. Bush.
In 2008, Wall Street’s largesse accounted for 20 percent of Obama’s total take, according to Reuters…
…President Obama and Democrats, such as New York Sen. Charles Schumer, who has received approximately $8.7 millionfrom Wall Street since 1989, should stop taking campaign donations from Wall Street banks if they are so offended by their actions.
And not just that, but as President Obama was happily listening to speakers at yesterday’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial dedication wax poetic about how the Soros-funded, Nazi- and Communist Party-supported Occupy Wall Street is ushering in a new era of peace, prosperity and folk music, his wife was happily sporting a “cranberry-red” Azzedine Alaia frock, pictured above. In case you are unfamiliar with Alaia as a designer, pieces under his label frequently retail – at full cost – anywhere from one to five thousand dollars, depending on where you buy, when and how much detail goes into the dress. A drop-waisted piece, like the one that Michelle wore on Sunday, is currently a featured auction on eBay at $4499. A weightier, more recent piece is available on Yoox for around $2500.
