Prisoners Eat Better Than NHS Patients
Written By : Van Helsing

If you don’t like the wretched food served in hospitals by Britain’s socialistic health service, at least there’s something you can do about it — get thrown in jail:

Researchers have claimed the food provided in prisons is better than in NHS hospitals.

Experts from Bournemouth University examined the quality of food offered to prisoners and NHS patients. … Professor John Edwards said about 40% of patients entering hospital were already malnourished, and this did not tend to improve during their stay.

According to fellow researcher Dr Heather Hartwell, catering budgets often fall victim to the endless budget cuts that characterize intrinsically unaffordable free healthcare for all.

Trays are often taken away empty because food tastes so awful patients won’t eat it, or because the trays have been placed out of their reach. The NHS chucks out 11 million uneaten trays every year. No matter; taxpayers have plenty of money.

In 2007, 242 patients died of malnutrition in British hospitals.

Bellows shadow health spokesman Norman Lamb:

It’s incredible that so many hospitals are failing to serve healthy meals. If prisons can serve good food then so can hospitals.

Why not put a fence around the island and declare the whole place to be a prison? It worked out fine for Cuba — according to our rulers.
