Quote of the Day: I’m Blacker Than Barack Obama

I’ve gotta hand it to Rod Blagojevich, the recently impeached governor of Illinois. The man makes your average Democrat look like Mother Teresa, having made a name for himself by not just his acts of corruption as governor, but by the many uncontrolled, crude, and obnoxious remarks he’s made since he’s become a national figure.

In a most recent faux pas, good old Blago is joining more and more Democrats as they expose how they really feel about their party’s icon and our country’s president, Barack Obama. Just after recent news about Harry Reid’s and Bill Clinton’s disparaging remarks, the ex-governor takes the cake for the best Barack Obama insult:

What the (expletive)? Everything he’s saying’s on the teleprompter. I’m blacker than Barack Obama. I shined shoes. I grew up in a five-room apartment. My father had a little laundromat in a black community not far from where we lived. I saw it all growing up.

I have to admit, I’m kind of entertained to see two of our country’s worst Democrats at odds with each other. And as crass and uncredible as he is, I think Blagojevich actually has a point this time (I doubt B.O. ever shined a pair of shoes in his life – even his own). But let’s leave that point for the liberals to make – Republicans would never get away with this stuff.
