Reid Says “Nope” To Giving People Time To Read Nanny State Care Bill
Written By : William Teach

Transparency!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D- Nev.) will not commit to giving senators and the public a full week to read and review the final version of a health-care reform bill before he holds a final vote on it.

Reid confessed at his Thursday news briefing that he did not have “a lot of time” to read the 1,071-page stimulus bill before voting on it in February.

Obama promised at least 5 days for the public to be able to read the legislation coming from Washington, yet, most of the bills have been signed quickly, and without even Congress Critters being given a chance to read them before votes are forced. Of course, Obama left himself a way out, by saying the 5 days doesn’t apply to emergency legislation. Apparently, it is almost all emergency legislation.

Change you aren’t given a chance to believe in. We have three sayings we throw around when people are complaining in our staff meetings and with each other: “it is what it is,” “suck it up and deal with it,” and the ever popular “drink the kool aid.” That seems to be what Washington is saying to the country.
